What happened to white shorts for WC? If one guy gets let off why has Sagan not done it?0 -
Nobody with any sense wants white shorts for the WC. TT champs sure - that's a production issue. But there's no need for more if you won the road race. You won the jersey - not the shorts, socks, shoes, frame, helmet and bus. This applies to all jerseys (unless you're winning the Tour or Giro on the last day - I'll cede to business in those)

There's a nice, simple memorial for WW (and Dimitri de Fauw and Frederik Nolf) on the bikepath between Gent and Oudenaarde. Right outside the café who's sign marks the finishing line for the sprint on the return leg of the group ride that goes down there every day.
