I'm amazed Frenchie hasn't accepted yet that 2009 will be Contadors last TdF win
I think Froome will do well in this one. Will be interesting to see how Quintana reacts. It's interesting having him, Froome and Nibs all there with the Tour in their legs.
He wont stop until he goes double digits in GT. Tour is next. He is only a couple years older than Froome and younger than Valverde.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Nibali is younger than Froome. He has won 3 GTs, got 4 podiums, 3 top tens and 3 top 20s. Never finished a GT lower than 20 and never DNF. Two times he won and podiumed in the same year. Pure GT talent.Contador is the Greatest0

He claims to have won a Giro and Vuelta with broken bones, but you definitely can't win a Tour with a broken spirit.
His last 3 attempts have ended in abject failure. Psychologically, he's now under Froome and Quintana's thumbs."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Even if you throw safety out of the window, it's impossible to ride a TTT on such a narrow course.

Was looking forward to this, but this course is dreadful.
Complete non event today, the Vuelta starts tomorrow.0 -
Europcar taking it veeeery easy. Not even trying.
Orica going full bore.
Ozzy's probably feeling at home at the beach I guess.0 -
Eurosport doing a fine job of missing out most of the interesting bits on orica's ride through terrible add break choice.0
-
Team Giant looking very relaxed at the start.
Tom Dumolin making jokes even as they set off.
Not really trying all that.0 -
Most interesting are the teams who are taking it seriously.
Orica, Trek, Tinkof (ahead of Orica by less than a second), Caja, and it looks like Quick Step.0 -
So early but Carton's getting on my t*ts in a big way already. I feel the mute button will have to be applied soon“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

Missed that, was making tzatziki.
What happened?0 -
He had a pop after they finished , think the accusation was you weren't trying hard enough.

Arguably the most underwhelming start to any Grand Tour, thanks to the Vuelta organisers. Whoever it was in Marbella stumped up the cash for the "privilege" of hosting this stage will be looking for a partial refund.

What they'll actually end up with is the USA Slow Challenge and this stage when no one was trying in the Vuelta.0 -
Oh look at that, Sky taking the piss on purpose to prove a point. Surprised? No. They don't give two sh*ts about the fans. Corporate scumbags.Contador is the Greatest0

And we know just how good he was in 2009, out of this world. Not so since.0 -
