Eneco Tour *Spoilers*

ha ha... were Roompot reading the forum? Can they hold onto the jersey?
Good on Boonen! Sure Chasey will be celebrating0 -
Can see why they do it.
Let's face it, Eneco Tour's probably as much of a joke in the pro peloton as it is on here, save for Jumbo and some B list Dutch riders.
Rick has already scuppered his chance to celebrate Boonen's win.....unless he was successfully going for a reverse jinx.0 -
Yep...just a little chipper win for his man...trophy hunter.Half man, Half bike0

Theuns at 6s... I've no idea what his TT is like I'm gonna assume "awesome""In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Wahoo!!!! Very happy to see MY MAN win!
TTHR Jr very happy too, although he did say "Cycling's boring, can I watch Thomas the Tank" before Tomekke had even stopped pedalling!0 -

Plus it's the only race to see the Muur get a proper outing these days (Omloop doesn't count as it comes with 120km to go) and 3 times at that!
In fairness, I assumed it was the same as the chipper it was 5 years ago ....0 -

Well done Boonen, he looks lean and mean!left the forum March 20230

OK, just turned on the highlights to watch this.
17.3km to go. Last breakaway rider just been swallowed up.
So far the only thing Carlton has been talking about is the difference between aluminium and steel advertising boards (yup, that's right, they're different metals), and growing tomatoes.0 -
OK, back from the ad break, 13.5km to go. Few riders getting dropped, lots of peloton movement.
First discussion of the cycling so far, only 8km into my viewing.
'I think Tom Boonen's Etix boys should be in there' as a peloton of 180 riders looms into the picture...
Real value added there Calrton, real value added.0 -
While there is a lot of jostling on the front from Orica, Trek and Jumbo, Calrton's talking about Lampre who are nowhere.
Brian Smith takes over and starts giving context around why lotto are moving up etc.
Carlton's value added after that? "well there we go'.0 -
Boonen did well.
Ended up on the front too soon, waited, let the FDJ rider go for it and then used him to come round & hold off the rest.0 -
so pleased he won... Legend.0 -
Apparently FdJ have sent David Boucher home for getting in the break today contrary to team orders.
Very odd move.

Seen elsewhere that he is annoyed at being released at the end of the season.0

He was born in France but rides as a Belgian - serial defector!
cf my earlier notes - despite help Demare seems to want to do it on his own ?? Madiot mad at Boucher but teams all over the place0 -

It's strange as breakaways are sort of what you pay Boucher for."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
