TdF Stage 14 - Rodez -> Mende **SPOILERS**

Damn - some "fan" chucked a beaker of urine in Chris Froome's face whilst screaming Doper at him.
That is the upshot of scandalous gutter journalism . Disgraceful I hope that the TV cameras or another fan got a photo of him and the Gendarmes can find the nasty fool that did it
Yeah that's pretty disgusting. Cavendish got one last year or the year before as well. You have to be pretty deprived of a lot of things to do a thing like that.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Yep, not for lack of effort he didnt win either. Although maybe there was some time lost due to not wanting to ride with Pinot.Watching Froome sprint is like watching a camel rollerskate.
Pretty ridiculous that he has that sort of sprint on him isn't it. Definitely nothing like a pure climber.
Touch unfair, he's sprinting against Quintana not Cavendish, I've never seen either of them sprint for anything before.
He put me in mind of Abdoujaparov, style-wise. Especially the suicide launch across the road.

Disgusting.
I hope the click-bait writing journos and bloggers and twitter idiots are happy with themselves.
I'm really getting down on the Tour recently. What other race do the idiots come out like that for?
A lot worse happens in other sports. Cycling fans generally tend to be better behaved.0 -

. Proper win as well with no riding wheels BS, just powering through to the finish.

Yeah it's all quite depressing. That was a great stage and a fantastic win for Steve Cummings, then you hear about that and it brings you right back down to Earth with a bump. This Tour is having all the joy sucked out of it.0 -

No one did which really annoyed me. Although I love Yates, was not hoping he won after he was eating Bardet's wheel. In any case, winning on Mende deserves respect.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Well someone must have!
Yates tactic is to have an easier ride until Bardet fades then jump him because he knows he can't sustain Bardet's pace without the slipstreaming. It's a better bet to win races than sprinting full bore alongside the guy you want to beat."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Roche's blog from yesterday:
We went into a right hander shortly after though and I lost the guys, finding myself second in line and hanging onto a scorching Steve Cummings from MTN Qhubeka as we closed in on the last three of the six breakaways.
I looked around for the lads but there wasn't much I could do as Cummings was absolutely flying and I had to sprint out of each corner just to stay with him.

So Porte's been punched, Froome's had p*ss thrown in his face.
This is not acceptable. It's assault. What's it going to be like on the Alpe?

Fair enough for mine. He could have scooted along or walked."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Jouranlists and twitter scientists ("90% sure Froome is doping") getting the mob riled up. It was always going to happen.
I've felt that ever since he got through week one.
I reckon it's a dead cert.
Goodness knows what the fall out might be, but knowing the hypocritical French, it will be given the old Gallic shrug and complacent smile."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

It is a shame - but riding in a car whilst on a stage is just a complete no-no - even for 100 metres
Emmanuel Hubert, general manager of the BS team, confirmed to tour.fr his Argentine leader Eduardo Sepulveda had been disqualified.
"At the top of the Col de l'Escrinet, he broke his chain and was serviced by the car AG2R, who gave him a wheel, thinking it was the problem. He was behind the AG2R car and I did not see it. I stopped 100 meters away and Eduardo, instead of going on foot, covered the 100 meters in the back seat of the AG2R car. There nothing to say. It is the rules. "0 -

Francois Holland was on the course today - would be nice if he took the opportunity of condemning the action of the fans when he is inevitably asked about his day on the tour0

Barloworld in 2007 have still got the "Best African Wild Card" result.

How stupid to get in a car during a stage in the Tour?
It would have taken him, what, 30 seconds to walk it?0 -
