In fairness I have a naturally high heart rate. At my absolute fittest, and I really was fit then, my resting heart rate was 65. I can easily push into 200+ bpm.
To complicate it further my heart doesn't like to beat all that regularly. Kinda speeds up and slows down over short periods. Nothing major but it f*cks with monitors.
It's all been checked out and totally healthy. Inherited it from my mother.
Are you an Igor?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

my RHR is about 80-90. Happy can get it up to 190 if I push, 195 would have me vomiting.
My gf took my pulse while I was asleep and was staggered at how high it was then.0 -

Froome gave his resting HR as 35 and max as 170 in an interview today.
He needs a pacemaker then.
He's got two, Porte and Thomas
Seriously though, a resting heart rate under 40 is normally treated with a pacemaker.
Mind you Richie will probably wear it for him.
Mine is sub 40 most of the time, 35 being my lowest also - never heard of it being universally treated with a pacemaker. Garbage I think.Blog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -

I say that as my dad was fitted with one about 6 weeks ago, and that is what the doctor told him. I also have a friend who was told exactly the same thing. He is 44. But they have decided to monitor it after a second opinion.
Apparently you can blackout at any time with a heartrate that low.0 -
