Degenkolb not holding back.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0
-
These time gaps are pretty big considering the length of the course.
Decent ride by Yates (of the Simon variety).0 -
Quintana's gonna loose a minute or so to Froome. But so is Porte0
-
Really 4 different races in one here.
The race for the stage, the GC guys, the just ride round safelys and the guys thinking of time gaps on stage 3“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
What coverage are people going with? I've been with Eurosport as they were showing the TT right from the off. I quite like Flecha's interviews with the riders (and his contributions during the Giro), they seem very relaxed talking to him - I'm guessing still treating him like a mate rather than a broadcaster.
Kirby watch - OK so far. I'm a fan of Kelly, but considering how long Durbridge has been riding he seems to struggle with his name!0 -
Very interested to see how Dowsett goes in this "short club 10" maybe...just maybe...0

Superb by Dennis...fastest TT in Tour history...going to be a monster effort to beat that. Congrats to him as he has been preparing all year for it.Contador is the Greatest0

Rick Verbrugge is gonna need a new claim to fame"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Nice gaggle* of Frenchmen in the running for the lanterne rouge by the end of the day.
*not sure this is the correct collective noun for Frenchmen.0 -

It would be great if he could do it in his first Tour, a hat tip to Boardman0 -
Nice to see Bakelants running a mechanical groupo0

Does Bob Jungels really have a commuter light?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

A knot??0 -
Bob Jungels with a flashing rear light?
Can understand it in CTT events mixing it with dual carriageway traffic, TdF prologue on closed roads, not so much...0 -

I can only think it is a sponsor thing
Or having the light provides some sort of aerodynamic advantage0 -

Nah. It's Joel's magic battery, hiding in plain sight.0 -
That Bora chef looks like a serial killer.0

Think it's just publicity for their integrated light mount on the Speed Concept.0
-
Stijn Devolder fact: all the Trek riders have a clause in their contract that they have to send their power dats to management. Except Stijn Devolder, because they're not even sure if he knows how to use it."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Balls hot roadside.
Mate, I'm coated in a thin film of sweat and I smell like a drain and all I've done is sit on the sofa since about 12. I dread to think what its like being out of doors"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
