You sure it wasn't for crimes against music?
Edit: music. Crimes against music.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
Cheers0 -
Just had the TT celebrations for the U23 and Women. Was quite interesting. Storey was properly chuffed to be spraying that champagne. The women showed quite a bit more presence then the U23s...Contador is the Greatest0

And is thread UK Nats, or all Nats?
If the latter, then I predict that - in spite of being a bit long in the tooth - Chava will win his 24th consecutive TT title.
yes, I have the Midas touch when it comes to predicting the outcome of notable events.

Dowsett catches 4 minute man.

He probs eased off a little at the end? Saving himself for the tour0 -
Pretty strong performance from Hayley Simmonds in the women's race. They really should send her to the Worlds on the back of that performance, but as she's from outside the programmes will they? Hope her DS Mauro enjoys a beer or two for that win Good day for the Tabs (spit) with Ed second in the men's. Anyone from the forum racing? okgo, were you not tempted to give the TT a bash?"Mummy Mummy, when will I grow up?"
"Don't be silly son, you're a bloke, you'll never grow up"0 -

Good result for the Irish comedian there. Pleased to see the tache get silver as well.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
Ridiculous gap from Dowsett to the rest. Just another example of how the majority of British riders are so far below their European counterparts. I mean Brits specialize in TTs and Crits and they can't even get within three minutes of Dowsett who nowadays wouldn't be odds on to take a top ten in a WT TT.Contador is the Greatest0

Really? How come GB are third in the UCI rankings, despite way fewer riders than the traditional European nations?0 -

Those who make it really are very good?
Froome & Cav duo alone probably makes the top 10.0 -
Precisely. As I have always said it is about strength in depth. You will get a handful of relatively superb riders in any country.Contador is the Greatest0

Must have been one of the weakest National TT fields in a while. Dowsett the only WT rider in the field but at least it means the jersey will be on display in the big races whereas if Wiggins had turned up and won it would have only been seen on dual carriageways in the UK!0

When did Dowsett stop being one of the best TTers in the world?
How does this show that British riders are far below European riders??
How do crits have any relevance here???0 -
Pross, what other WT British rider can TT? There are only 13 in the WT! Which is a much smaller % then the other big cycling countries. Even Ireland has a greater %.

Just remember up until a couple of months ago, the world, olympic and national TT titles were held by a brit, with another holding the hour record.
Dowsett is top 10 testers in the world.0 -

You could get 'a handful of relatively superb riders in any country', but that doesn't take away from what the Brits are doing.
The French seem to have weakness in depth. If all 56 french WT riders are faced off against the best UK riders in the TT they wouldn't even have got on the podium....and this is a good thing?
Seems to me that it's the likes of French cycling that is withering on the vine, but I'd loved to be proved wrong this summer.0 -
how much has Tony martin beaten the 2nd best german tester by? in the WC it was over 2mins back to arndt?"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way.
