just was a typical Cav answer, and rightly so he doesn't have to show people how he can ride, being ex world champ and 25 tour wins,
Cav did supremely well on a course that didn't suit him. the glasgow course was a bit better for him, and he had Millar assisting a bit...0 -

Nibali was kept waiting for approx two hours to do blood control after yesterday's Italian champs because testers had forgotten testing kit!Contador is the Greatest0 -
FF on deignan and lizzie armitstead being an item:Wow, talk about punching above his weight and he is certainly completely different to her previous beau. But maybe she churns and burns them.
The garbage about deignan not deserving a licence is just playground jealousy. It's quite sweet really.
Yeah, doesn't come as any surprise at all that he doesn't know much about women either so makes rhetoric up about a situation to suit his brain in exactly the same way he does about cycling
On another note. It's incredible how Lizzie managed to win even with the disadvantage of having a mechanical groupset compared to all the other top finishers.0 -

Yes, think about how she had to concentrate on all the changes cos they weren't telepathic. This on top of having to cycle. Staggering.0 -

Deignan is not on the finish list hence why I didn't see him; but he is not worthy of holding a pro licence anyway.
Please tell me you were drunk or something when you wrote this?
No not really:

Even excluding that, he is just an average domestique.
Hmmm. Top 10 in GT and GT stage victory.
Yeah. Hand back that licence. It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -
Stuart Dangerfield sticks it to BC, and rightly so

Bit late with this, but here's the aforementioned Gent training ride. Some quality there
It's not a great shot, but L-R is Iljo Keisse, Dimitri Claes, Otto Vergaerde, Tiesj Benoot, Bart De Backer, Nicholas Mae, Edward Theuns, Gijs Van Hoecke."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I see that Dennis already won the Aussie Men's TT.
But anyone know why Bling isn't riding the Road Race? OGE seem to be putting forward only Caleb and Gerrans as contenders..0 -
Jack Bobridge wins the Aussie road race with a 90km solo break!

wow but FF wouldn't be impressed:
“Every time up the climb I really watched my powermeter and I knew what I could do. It was a little tactical game for me in terms of really watching that powermeter and really watching the effort right to the finish line."

I missed he went to Trek, this was like a PCM national champs race.0 -

Rohan Dennis sacked it when it became clear he wasn't going to win.

what did you expect him to do? drive it on the front, then Bobridge could have blown/flatted/crashed and been caught then a non BMC riders wins0 -

I didn't say anything about drilling it on the front. But sacking your nationals with a podium up for grand looks a little petulant, in my opinion"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

a thing called common sense perhaps. Dennis is a lot of things but he is also pretty practical. Shame really as BMC could do with having some decent national Champs kit for choppers like me to wear….0 -

A bit odd on the tactics front from Porte & Dennis, taking in the various reports from the race. However, OGE screwing up and missing again gives me a laugh. Drapac are funny, though. They enter masses of riders for the race - more than OGE, for the last couple of years - then sit back just behind OGE and let them do all the chasing and STILL miss out on a podium.
Avanti OTOH have yet again punched well about their weight across all the OZ mens champ races this year0 -

Riders pack races all the time once the chance of winning has gone, anything other than winning the nationals is pretty much a nothing result for a world tour rider0 -

Goddamn it, no one gave Stannard and Rowe that memo when they fought it out tooth and nail up Michaelgate for the podium, with the race already won by Kennaugh.
See? They needn't have bothered.0 -
That was probably for bragging rights in the deathstar afterwards and I imagine partly because it was a one on one. I imagine several WT riders further back had dropped out.0

Can I point out that Gerrans finished 6th... the only OGE rider who did...0
