You get the feeling Cav Kittel is going to turn into Boonen Cancellara.

Maybe, but Boonen & Cancellara really only had a fortnight each year when they clashed, while Cavendish & Kittel have possibilities all year round.

For sure, but a bit like that fortnight we only really care about the Tour.

Cav is like Boonen - started earlier and has already has a monster year.

Kittel has come in a bit later, but is probably a fraction better when they're both 100% - so like Cancellara.

Meh, I thought it was a fun comment.

In a way they're worse than Boonen/Cancellara. I think they've only properly sprinted against each other once since Paris 2013.

Yeah, spotted that last year too. Shouldn't be allowed

So, Sagan wins the ITT as well. Only 10 km, but still. Pretty poor startlist for a HC race... Means the GC all comes down to one climb, today. Henao, Alaphillippe, Gesink, Zubeldia, Kennaugh well placed.

Had it on in the background whilst I was watching a fillum, can't help but be pleased for the boy.

Sagan has a bit more swag in his step after that time-trial win and overall lead. Good to see.

Storming ride by Alaphilippe too (third).

Great job by Sagan and my man Alaphilippe. Solid rode by Tao in 17th. Gesink up there too - been a bit consistent of late, hopefully coming good.

Sagan looked so powerful on that TT bike I thought he was going to rip the cranks off it.

Really hope those wins have broken the seal for Sagan... Can't think of a rider who's style exemplifies "torque" better (Cav following wheels in the last 5km is pretty close). A joy to watch...

I am looking forward to this stage.

Have we ever seen Sagan have to defend one a high mountain? I hope he really does try.

Why do the Eurosport commentators keep saying Geoghegan Hart is Scottish? Have the SNP annexed Hackney?

Big effort by Boswell but Henao now goes on the attack with just over 5km to go.

Alaphilippe looking good for the overall now, distancing Henao. He already has 10s on him in the GC.

Alaphillipe gets a second wind and extends his lead.

Edit - No time gaps but Henao is around 20s behind and Sagan is still in with a shout of a podium place at least.

Alaphillipe takes the stage. Fantasic set up for tomorrow with Sagan only 2sec behind in the GC and time bonuses on offer!
