and i think SKY have the same time as OGE, they've been given it so it must have been down to 10ths.

Very bad start for Naironman. +40s

Froome needs to jack the woodbines. That coughing at the finish...

Katusha doing well again. Very good year so far (And yes I am lusting after their Canyons...)

Froome - well we do know he gets exercise induced asthma.

OGE currently 30s up according to my non-existent Dutch.

    Indeed OGE fastest by 39:45.

That's a shocker after a really solid TTT the other week. Did they have a problem, or just a shit TT?

Peraud was in trouble up the final drag and they had to wait a bit over top. I think they also went down to 6 very early.

Nairo down 40 seconds already with an ITT to come too. He will need to provide fireworks in the other stages.

Sky win at will again. Racking up just about everything this year.

Shame the time gaps are pretty large to Nairo.

How come Nicholas Roche was dropped during the TTT? I thought he'd be pretty strong for the climb at the end.

His crash in Liege might have something to do with it.

Read a preview for stage 2 that made a decent case for about 20 different winners. Sounds like a cracker despite the unseasonably fine weather.

Alexis Vuillermoz is a sick puppy and DNS.

Hoping for fun and games on the Col des Pontins, the penultimate climb.

Won't happen. Sky will do the cycling equivalent of 'parking the bus'* for this stage. And no GC rider is going to challenge it. Everyone will wait of the weekend. A stage win may be grabable, but not by anyone threatening.

You're probably right, but there are plenty of chaos merchants with nothing to lose.

I'm surprised that Stephen Roche knew how to work a podium.

Easy day for Sky so far, controlling a breakaway of 2. The auto-translated Sporza Ticker is great
Meanwhile, our leaders lose whatever their plumes. Their lead after 81 kilometers dropped to 5'25.

Maxim Belkov (Katyusha) and Jonathan Fumeaux (IAM Cycling) have 5'40 "on the peloton where Sky, the team leader and team leader Thomas Froome, check. The riders have already defeated one of the four climbs of the day.
