Wiggins disrespecting the fans by working for Viviani - what a loser, seriously

Kristoff is a beast at the moment. Not going to be easy to shake off at P-R

Kristoff comes from nowhere, unleashes a long sprint and takes the win.

Viviani 2nd maybe after losing about 10 places on the last corner.

    Bennett 3rd.
edit, actually some guy called Archibald.

    Next.

Viviani made up huge ground after the last corner. Better positioning and he'd have won that.

CK getting things wrong again. I suspect Wiggo was pointing at the Lampre rider that was headbutting him, rather than gesticulating about the camera bike
2020 Reilly Spectre - raw titanium
2020 Merida Reacto Disc Ltd - black on black
    2015 CAAD8 105 - very green - stripped to turbo bike
    2018 Planet X Exocet 2 - grey

    The departed:

    2017 Cervelo R3 DI2 - sold
    Boardman CX Team - sold
    Cannondale Synapse - broken
    Cube Streamer - stolen
    Boardman Road Comp - stolen

90% of Vivianis seconds or thirds this year have been due to poor positioning, he should have won more now. Kristoff is a beast and doesn't even look like he's pushing. Needs a helmet that fits him though

I thought he was just making a joke to be fair.

He seems to lose his position in the train too easily.
He should have been in the pound seat, but instead ended up in the queue.

Track riders in 2nd and 3rd, today.
That should bring more pleasure to frenchie. 8)

    Worth remembering he's 23 (most of season) . Viviani 26 Kristoff 27

    Kristoff same age (23)

    35 Stage 4 - De Panne › De Panne
    5 Stage 3 - De Panne › De Panne 4
    135 Stage 2 - Oudenaarde › Koksijde219
    172 Stage 1 - Middelkerke › Zottegem

    one year later

    4, 2 , 34, 1 - 12th GC 1st Points

Similar story with Cav although he is a May birthday and i can't be bothered doing maths.

Trend seems quite a lot of development in strength for sprinters after 24 ??

I think Demares 8th stage 1 was good in terms of 15th at (that) Gent Bubblegum 2 days earlier

He's being worked pretty hard early season .

    Wiggins making more friends

Who was the last sprinter who won so regularly from distance like Kristoff? Cav did a few long ones but Kristoff hits the front at around 300-400 to go and no-one comes around him. He hasn't actually got much of a kick and certainly isn't a typical sprinter. Viviani is a bit like Swift, they both seem to give up their position too easily when their team do a good job for them. Maybe they are both a bit too slight to fight for their position?
  • The press over here and the guys I talk cycling with all seem to think Wiggins is going alright.

What about Kristoff for RVV? Vaguely remember him almost making it across to the final break of 4 last year, got within about 10 seconds I think but couldn't quite bridge.

Looks to me as if he's enjoying his last fortnight in the World Tour, and why not?

He is, though his big season goal is Roubaix. Madiot fancies him as a future winner (and I agree).

That said, it's more the performance than the finishing position that worries me. It if hugely noticeable hour much more timid he is than the other sprinters. I had though reza would have been a massive boon to him*, but he doesn't seem to be riding in the same races for some bizarre reason.

*his work for coquard at the tour was huge.

You remember right. Though it feels a bit like he's been racing a lot more this season than last. Not that I'm going to actually check, mind.

A few attacks looking to go out of the bunch but doesnt look like they are going to amount to much.

That's yesterday's stage, right? In waiting on the man to come and connect a phone at my mum's. Of OK missing now racing because of this...

Is it? I missed most of yesterday for a meeting.

I assumed this was the morning stage before the time trial this afternoon. I am watching without sound as I am in the office.
