If you know the route I might tag along... I have no GPS and can't be bothered to read a mapleft the forum March 20230
-
They supply a gps route and also a route sheet with directions. I used the gps last year and it worked fine. There are usually enough people on the road, at least until the last checkpoint for you not to get lost.
As it's also not a balls out sprint it's fairly easy to stay together as long as the group isn't massive.RIP commute...

I too would be interested in this pass pending. I need a nice route for a round trip anyway as I'm doing something similar on the 27th.

If you are serious about having a Carradice then I've got two SQR mounts and then a Junior and Zipped Roll. The zipped roll is generally big enough for a day ride (I use it for the commute if I just need puncture kit, tshirt and underwear, glasses, wallet & phone (shoes and jeans at work already)).
The junior is big enough to take a shirt, jeans and a pair of shoes at a push on top of the above.
I only use them in the summer as the bags tend to impede any seatpost mounted lights (like all of mine) but they are great for the summer.
not sure if I can use an SQR mount with a canyon carbon VLCS seat post. Probably not a good idea.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

It's 200 Km, not 2,000...you can leave the makeup flip flop and spare knickers at home...left the forum March 20230 -
So big old carradices bags all round then?
I actually might get one for commuting if I decide to stick with the cambium on the Italia. It's very comfy but the squeaking is still a issue.RIP commute...

Woah now what's all this audax business, have you mixing your SCR for CTC
this has serious implications for your FCN scoresRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -
I almost got sucked into doing this but it clashes with the Tour of Cambridgeshire Gran Fondo closed road ride the same day. I'm doing that with my brother - it's only 126km - he's none-too-fit.
This year everything is happening on the same days. Take 7th July for instance: bought tickets for me and the kids for the F1 but I could have been at the Grand Depart in Utrecht or racing at Donington Park. Bummer! :roll:ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

Just over a week to go and my preparation has amounted to zilch. I've scarcely ridden more than 10 miles in one go this year and my breathing is still cr@p. Menthel, can you drive in the collar? If so are you going to drive the team car so you can offer us drinks to help us up any slight inclines? ;-)0

Unfortunately not, especially as I am spending quite a lot of my time off my tits on codeine at present! Performance enhancing I reckon!RIP commute...

Sorry to hear that Menthel, heal up soon
I managed to do Leith hill, Ranmore and Box hill last weekend. Doing an easy 75k tomorrow morning. Hopefully the legs will have recovered for next Sunday.
Anyone that did it last year, does it start at 8am on the dot, or do people head off before then?Bianchi C2C - Ritte Bosberg - Cervelo R3

Mattsaw, I think we were kind of waved off at 8am. There was no particular rush. I'll be on a green Kinesis Pro6.0
