Could have something to do with the ADD report which is about to be released.
  • So he wants de Jonge and Riis gone?

Still, Saxo could be a hellish entertaining car crash for the season

It's for bad results, rather than ADD

And Friebos just tweeted that Riis doesn't have much to worry about from the report.

Shame for the racing. Hard to see them being the same attacking force in GTs without Riis at the wheel. The risk of failure and a chat with Oleg is too high.

edit: Results? Tinkoff has lost it.

Riis isn't at the wheel very much, is he ?

Whether he's calling the shots on the road or not, he's probably signing risky moves waivers, and offering cover for the troops. A more bening presence than Oleg.

Ned Boutling suggesting Basso to be caretaker manager
But as I'm typing that, I'm thinking he's taking the hand

Hopefully Oleg takes over running affairs himself - including driving the number 1 car and dictating tactics. I love it when a rich megalomanic takes over a sports team.

Oh, God. Irony fail on Twitter:

Ivan Basso will not be "taking over as caretaker manager". This was a lame joke. Not a fact.

There is literally nothing I would enjoy more than Oleg attempting to run the team into the ground a la that woman in Major League.

I see Sagan as Ricky "wild thing" Vaughn

Poor Sagan, it'll be back to Metallica full blast over the radio again.

There is something of the inevitable about all of this. It was almost like you knew this day would arrive as sure as Christmas, it was only a matter of when.

How long before he virtually explodes if Sagan keeps not winning anything? He'll probably get the Giro with Contador but you can't see him winning the Tour against Quintana and Froome.

You have to admire Tinkov, there's not many people in the world who can make Riis look like the good guy.

Lack of results, having spent millions signing Slovakia's answer to JJ Rojas.

Why would he know such a thing? Not saying he isn't right but there have been absolutely no leaks to Danish media so far regarding the report.

The more you think about it, the more sense firing a guy that riders across the sport respect and want to work with, with undoubted tactical skill, the week before all of the goal races of the guy you just hosed 12 mil at and destabilising the entire team makes.

  • Also Riis looks exactly like the dad in Arrested Development these days, there I said it.

    Is it today it's due?

Thought it was strange that none of the Tinkov fires Riis articles mentioned it at all.
