As Porte hits the front. If anything Pozzy is the one that's sitting pretty.
He hasn't been out of last or second to last place the whole way down.Correlation is not causation.0 -
That gap is getting pretty small now, looks like 20" or less to the first group of chasers.0
-
It would be a shame if they get caught.Correlation is not causation.0
-
Carlton getting himself worked up about a single roundabout0
-
Is Froome in the chasing group?0
-
Pozzo jumps at 2k, nobody follows immediately.0

Pozzy goes for a 2km flyer.Correlation is not causation.0

Errr guys is anyone going to try and shut this down?Correlation is not causation.0

This is like that stage that Porte won a few years ago in Pais Vasco.Correlation is not causation.0
-
Pozzo has this.0
-
Were a few riders in between front group and main group, but almost back together by the end and the gap was only 20 odd seconds I think0
-
Well done Pozzovivo.
Carlton is a n*bber. Porte can't sprint for toffee, there is no way that he got 2nd. It was Uran.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Porte always looks like he's sprinting through treacle.0 -
Superb stage, glad for Pozzo, very happy Porte didn't get that. Great racing. Shame to see Froome not in the mix but means he will give it everything on the summit finish tomorrow if he recovers. Three of my men in the front group. Hope Contador gives us a show tomorrow on the slopes.

Paterski lost 1:40? Still up there on GC although I think Rolland was ahead of him and should be overall leader.0 -
Well that was quite exciting.Correlation is not causation.0
-
(Possibly not correct, Paterski should still be in second if he came in 1:40 down)0 -
In other news Cannondale get their first WT points.

Thanks to Dan Martin's third place Cannondale-Garmin win their first World Tour ranking points, the last of the 17 teams to do soCorrelation is not causation.0 -
That was a bit cheeky from Pozzo, given his non-contribution to the pace setting. Good to see most of the big-hitters in the front group, especially Uran and Martin.
DD.0 -
Cheeky but almost entirely predictable given his cushty ride down the mountain.Correlation is not causation.0

Whatever about Pozzovivo, Dan Martin made it into 3rd for an each way, which is the most important thing, eh @carltonkirby ? #VoltaCatalunya

Don't think they are that clever? After all based on what he and his team have achieved this year he was not a favourite.Contador is the Greatest0

No idea about the veracity of the claim, but I've seen more out if kilter betting odds than that before - especially given Martin's form of late.
Actually, when Cav was at the height of his powers there used to be some good e/w betting opportunities in sprint stages.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

If only there was a method of communication by which you could convey your disbelief to Mr Kirby.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

If only the group could have predicted it.
An, exciting, funny and totally daft stage.
Also now predictable: Valverde has a problem, everybody puts the boot in."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0
