^ Contador's wheel was taken out from under him by some amateur on a roundabout.

Initially he wasn't listed but due to the 3km rule he was put back in his spot.

Sigh. It's always "some amateur" when one of your men crashes, isn't it?

    Ban roundabouts!

Did I hear word of echelons? I went to buy a plant so missed the stage.

So does that make Contador a bad bike handler? He's been down a few times this season.

    Heavy crash apparently.
Official. Superficial burns and bruises in arm, left leg and buttock. A cyclist of the Team Colombia crossed
    Roughly translated

The crash 25kms out looked a pretty bad one. Perhaps where LTD bit the tarmac?

Contador leading the charge again yesterday.
If you look closely you can see the limpet Porte on his wheel where he has spent 90% of the race.

In the Helmet Vs No Helmet argument - irrespective of the issues - having Tony Gibb and Carlton Kirby in your corner is always going to count against you... They are definitely in the Helmet camp.

Valverde only has 3 team mates left apparently.

This is hard channel hopping between and between two languages. Although Tony Gibb is so boring I might switch to Dutch for Catalunya.

To be fair it's so boring even Carlton was just recommending people should go watch that stage with Keise in the Tour of Turkey from a few years ago :)

    That was a great stage!

Although I have to say the infrastructure geek in me just enjoyed that discussion about drain covers

Why is Carlton not doing his "dangers of roundabouts" spiel? Are drain covers the new roundabouts?

Ha ha ha. You've got to watch the gutters apparently.

The gutters will have your garters if you're not careful.

If it was possible, I'd be a bigger fan of his droppings than the winnings.

Dan Martin probably has this. He's being allowed to go by the GC boys. Movistar/Señor Hairplugs has nothing left. Sky don't care, let Martin takes the bonus seconds.

Although maybe he won't get it...

OK Señor Hairplugs did have something left.

    Well done, Richie.

Little bit of an anti-climax with only Valverde showing any fight, but good race overall.
