Sad to say it, but the Boonen Qatar/Classics correlation holds up yet again.

Vockler looks to be struggling more of the two but he'll be faking to not have to pull as long.

Must ve been a mechanical for Degenkolb, could have nabbed yellow.

    Anyway, my first PTP win!

    As FF would say.
The German wasn't good enough. :P
    (he obviously had a mechanical)

Demare has done nothing much so far this season.
    Not in the top 10

Kelly hypothesised that Degenkolb may have had a mechanical.

....although I have to say watching the replay he goes incredibly early...

That disn't look like a mechanical from above. Just went too early.

What was one of the Giant riders doing putting his left arm out to pull back a Movistar (?) rider about 300m from the finish?
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Demare really needs to up his game. Can't help feeling FDJ got rid of the wrong one.

My first PTP points of the year.

If my drought was persisting beyond today I was going to implement Operation PTP Lanterne Rouge 2015 and just pick CHENG for everything.*

*It would also mean I wouldn't have to remember to pick anyone, or bother to check the profiles, riders etc. On second thoughts I'm so busy these days it's not a bad strategy. I mean who remembers a top 20 finish versus a lanterne rouge?
    Correlation is not causation.

I think there is an element of skill required for the Lantern Rouge that doesn't completely translate to PTP - you need to finish the tour!

But you'd need to finish the PTP season to be considered for the Lanterne. That's some stamina and a little skill...

I was also thinking it was a nice tribute to CHENG

  • Oh for f@ck sake.

More heartbreaking was my three year old saying "I think he might catch up, Daddy" and having to tell him "No, he won't, son. He's got an owie and he's going to the hospital"
