Phil S just tweeted that he's seen Stannard limp out of the team car at finish, cut on left leg.

Oss' hair is appalling. Peloton still not that far back.

It's sunny and the thermometers were reading 13 degrees but the wind is vicious! I had to get a nice old man in a car to agree to shelter me for about 3k along the Spaandammerdijk otherwise I wasn't going to make it home without coming a cropper again.

Nibali looks to be smuggling a few extra kilos.

Sagan and Oss catching back on now... or trying to at least. Cancellera struggling a bit on the climbs.

It's up to Stybar to try and drop Valverde before the final ramp to the line. Valverde definitely the strongest on the climbs.

Oops...maybe not. Stybar looks super strong, Vanmarcke maybe beginning to struggle.

Sagan seems to have vanished again, Oss + Canc chasing the front 4 right now.

Canc & Sagan looking surprisingly vulnerable...

So Valverde, Stybar, Van Avermaet and Vanmarcke in the front.

    11" to Canc and Oss.

Not surprised about Canc. Not great from Sagan.

They said a while ago that Betancur, Gerrans and Stannard had all DNF'ed, was there a crash earlier on? I only started watching at around 30k to go.

Hopefully Sep's been sandbagging. Closed that gap smartish.

Ah Valverde sitting at the back. That's better, regular order has been restored to the universe.

Not sure, Twitter rumours suggest crash, but not a major one

Super impressed with Sep on these longer climbs. He must be a fair few kilos heavier than Valverde and Stybar. The finish into Siena will surely be too steep for a guy his size.

I walked it last year on a holiday visit and it is very tough! The gf was scowling at me.

Oss + Canc almost back with the leaders, Rosa also just about there. Meanwhile GvA attacks.

Greg's back in the fold. Gap closed by Stybar on the climb, loosing Vanmarcke in the process.
