Listen brothers, I mean no offence to anyone on the forum. So please don't go to my parents, have some respect and dignity.

I came in peace, and when the time comes, will leave in peace.

Anyway, went for my ride at 3pm today. Got back in at 5pm. Lovely day for it don't you think?
In morning had some breakfast, before the ride had some veg and very low fat cottage cheese which is on the tub it shows 8% fat or something like that. They're actually in serious demand at the supermarkets now and are running out every week.

Came back and had 2 small pieces of meat, one 57g pot of Quakers oats Apple and Rasberry and, piece of grilled chicken with lots of veg.

Personally I think I've eaten too much, post ride binge which some cyclists say, you shouldn't do, well the serious ones anyway. Taking into consideration what you lot say, I felt the need to start eating a 3rd meal later perhaps about 7pm. I'm not gonna do that. According to various unique sources, the best diet is the one where you begin to see weight loss immediately. I want to take it easy for about 6 weeks of moderate riding and sticking to 2 meals a day and perhaps the odd 3rd meal here and there. Then when I've lost about a stone, I'll think about the 3rd meal. I'm not gonna ride a lot like moon miles etc Just about 14-16 miles a week at the most.

    Isn't that just a diet?
If all the sources are saying that is the best diet then none of them are unique.

How was the 2 hour ride on your downward sloping saddle?

Yah it was ok, went up a slippery hill in one part of the woods only to find residents had tried throwing logs in the way to prevent riders going across, so it was a bit of an adventure for my tyres to get muddy and lots of skidding on the way up, got stuck, had to turn back round and go back down to bottom of woods, stopped a bit for a rest and was admiring the scenery etc then had to cycle back up a big hill in the woods which I managed to do in two attempts then went home. It's not much but am only just starting out again so, will want to keep it up. Tomorrow's a rest day, then Saturday will try to do a bit more but in the park.

Healthy food makes me more hungry, I'm probs not used to it. Is it a problem for anyone else?

Well this escalated to new level of niceness yesterday. Hope everyone had a nice cwtch and made up.

I couldn't believe what I saw, the bike, in the woods, how the fook did that happen? There's even mud on the tyres. Maybe you should take it to Halfords and get them to service it now it's not as white.

Oh, and by the way, you don't get the flu 6 times a year, you'd be dead. You get 6 colds a year, and that's because YOU EAT LIKE AN ANOREXIC, normal people get the sniffles 1 or 2 days a year, the flu once a decade. Your God is very unhappy that you are letting your body die, it's the slowest suicide ever.

Bike in the woods, was a miserable day but made an effort because I wanted to do something about riding, and pedalled there, in there, and back home. I don't know if it's just me or I feel depressed in dull weather or unless I have a specific place to go I feel better otherwise.

I have got a little problem now, the bike cables have rubbed against the front stems paintwork and have exposed bare metal frame or it's really rubbed loads of paint off and I'm not happy about that. Also because I only gave it a hose down but didn't clean it, there's lots of dirt stuck to the frame which won't come off so yeah, it's not as white anymore. lol

But I gave it a clean yesterday. And like I said I will want to eventually get some lighter tyres and make the bike significantly lighter if I can afford it. Otherwise I need to know how to fix punctures and brakes etc

For solving the cable rub problem, you can use frame/helicopter tape....

Apply it warm, using a hairdryer. Works a treat.

Mind you, horse and stable door come to mind.

I think the first one, 8671HS looks cheapest for £7.00. Then again, couldn't I use ordinary duck tape in black? or is this one specific for what my problem is?

Thanks anyway, will maybe place an order later.

It is, but I'd actually put money on it that our resident rocket scientist didn't mean that.

Anyway that would have farked up my joke.

Cody - can you post a picture of your bike from the side? From the woods photo it looks like the saddle is nose down and the bars are twisted forward too much. Neither will help with comfort on the bike.

Maybe he like the position where he's leaning forwards, hands down, bum up?

Today I ate bacon and eggs. Drove to the Quantock hills. Got lifts up the hill, rode down as fast as I could, done jumps skids and wheelies, got muddy, laughed at mates, fell off, emptied my trick bag on the jumps (whip and one foot, thats my lot!), fell off and scratched my frame. Went home tired. Ate jerk chicken. Drank beer and watched terrible tv.
    Good day. Very good day.

I walked to the shops, drove my car to Cardiff and back and went for a 10 mile bike ride.
In between I managed to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Other activities included looking after my 2 children, doing some housework, drinking tea and watching TV.

    All on the same day!
