Simple: Nobody wants to pay for anything. Why are Tesco so huge? Because they were cheaper than everyone else. Why are Tesco in trouble? Because Lidl and Aldi are cheaper than Tesco. Don't blame the supermarkets, they're just responding to a public that doesn't want to pay what stuff is worth so that we can live the illusion that were better off today than we've ever been. It's me and you that are the problem, not Sir Terry Leahy.

It was more a statement than a question but you are right although the supermarkets still need to shoulder responsibility in terms of how they operate having captured a large portion of the market. They are effectively messing with our long term health with pricing, offers, etc and while we all have a choice as to what to buy or not buy pricing and offers directly influence purchasing. Not everyone has the budget to eat healthy clean foods which is a crazy scenario to be in. Fresh produce, fruit and veg should be classed as basics, not luxury, and priced accordingly. Deals on booze and junk food doesn't cut it I'm afraid. I understand they are a business out to make profit and they will be greater margin in the junk offers but where it's peoples health involved there needs to be some regulation now.

The mention of Lidl and Aldi was more from a quality perspective. They just happen to be cheaper as well as better quality.

You whine on and on and on about having a healthy, additive/flavouring-free diet like its one of the cornerstones of you entire approach to life yet are too much of an effing skinflint to shell out a few extra quid on organic food. At the same time, you can evidently justify blowing hundreds of pounds on a camera to take random pictures of an object you never use so you can put them online in the mistaken view that others may be remotely interested in seeing them.
I don't wish to be uncharitable, but aren't you a little bit embarrassed at being such a spineless, whining, hypocritical numpty?

I eat loads of chemicals and manage to do at least 20 miles a week on a push iron. I try to eat healthy most of the time too.

How is it, that after all the praying and eating "healthily", you can't manage to pedal round the block (even after working the equivalent of someone's lunch hour a week?

In regards to your original question, sell it.

India there is the grave of 9 prophets whose bodies are at least 18ft long, there's some in Syria, and in other Muslim countries. You have to go to these places to believe it and see it for yourself. How do you think they built houses in high up caves, carved from the rock?

I thought the other week the prophets were 14ft tall?

And as someone who boulders and rock climbs, living in a city where there are over 500 it is pretty easy to make dwellings in caves. Look into the history of Nottinghams slums and places like The Old Trip to Jerusalem.

Yep, you know nothing about history then and archaeology. You can't make a dwelling in a cave it's impossible, not with the current strength or height of the modern man. They had to be quadruple in size and strength to do it. And back then they were. The caves I'm talking about are built high up from the ground, there is no way of climbing those walls without a sophisticated means of technology like a helicopter or ropes. They were carved from hand tools by giants or humans who lived thousands and thousands of years ago.

Do you know about geology? About how water will wear away softer rocks to form hollows? Yes, I take it you have seen the Grand Canyon well that is what water does to rocks. Or do you believe that Allah did that himself? I would also look into what bouldering actually is if you don't believe that people can scale rock aces with out ropes

By the way, did your giants build me this pub to drink in?

Well Cody you are really ignorant about farming, as I own one and produced Organically and supplied supermarkets, I think I have a bit more knowledge than you.

Cabbages, Brussel Sprouts, greens, cauliflowers, to name a few grow out in the fields in the middle of winter with no problem, even with snow on the fields.

As for organic not selling in a supermarket where on earth did my 6.5 tonnes of organic mushrooms go each week, add to that the rest of our co-operative in East Anglia brought it up to around 70tonnes per week of organic mushrooms just to Tesco.

As for use of chemicals they have been so restricted by the cost, clearance for use, public concern, that over the last few years most fruit and vegetables are probably safer than they have ever been.

Over 20 years ago in the what is now DEFRA I asked the top civil servant how many chemicals were used across Europe he said about 4,000 and the figure for the UK 400, the reason was that it cost about 5 times the cost to get approval in the UK.
Now where's that "Get Out of Crash Free Card"

How do we know the scale in that picture?

If that's where I think it is (The Trip) my wallet felt quite small when I went there in my youth.

Apart from that bench on the right there's not much room for raping in there.

It is The Trip. I can only think of one other city centre pub that uses caves for drinking areas and that is The Hand and Heart on Derby Road.

    Cody wrote:
If you actually travel to the countries where there are religious gatherings and tombs of prophets, you will see the size of the graves. If you opened or were allowed access to open the tomb, you will witness the size of these giants. Prophet Ayub or Job was a giant and his grave is in Jerusalem in the tomb of the patriarchs. His body is preserved from decay.

You haven't been to these tombs and seen the size of the graves - you are just trotting out some old balls you read on the unbelievable internet or some beardy freak told you down the local religious nut gathering. Why would I believe you on this any more than I believe you that Organic food production is illegal?

I was going to go last year but I decided against it due to the Zionist illegal occupation and war in the region. Why would I be that daft to just believe what some person told me and not know for myself? I know through prayer and devotion to the oneness of god that these things are true. I have yet to see it myself. My grandad witnessed the removal of a tomb in the 1970's in a village in Pakistan where a few pious saints lived. They had to remove the body from the grave because 10 years after he died, his son had a dream in which he saw his father complaining that water is seeping in to his grave or will seep in to his grave. So a date was set and the whole village got together for this momentus gathering.

They had heard that the government had planned to extend or build a damn in the area and thus the body was removed, when they removed the veil or cloth from the body and face, there was this beautiful smell coming from the body and grave and the body was intact just as if it had been laid to rest the previous night and THIS IS AFTER 10 YEARS! Can evolution or belief in mere conjection explain this? Somehow I don't think so. You are only advancing in transgression and error.

I believe because I know something exists which has a prescribed law which we must follow. It transforms the baseness of man to the angelic state, if followed correctly and in accordance with gods will. The above incident I gave with the removal of the body is one example of a man reaching his natural state after many years, reaching the state he was born in as though he was a new born child. This is as Jesus described, returning to the spirit.

This is actually the most half sensible thing you have ever said although you haven't clearly seen a commercial greenhouse which can be the size of a small town for growing fresh produce out of season. But I agree, it's never quite the same.

Supermarkets have a lot to answer for and have a big majority of the public by the balls in terms of how they live their lives. They need regulating in how they price food and how they treat their suppliers in relation to pricing. Discounting a product and then saying to the supplier they will only pay a fraction of the cost price while that promotion runs is criminal. The supermarket should be taking the hot, not the supplier but unfortunately the supplier has little choice as they otherwise lose future business.

We are now paying the price for convenience and mass produced foods where now we have to pay over the odds for anything fresh or of quality. I would like to know how we let things get the a point were I can buy a ready meal cheaper than a bag of spinach. Forget the economies of scale and the fact it's mass produced and just think how utterly ridiculous this sounds. At least Lidl, Aldi and Costco are going against the grain.[/quote]

I'd like to try Aldi and Lidl and I've heard of Costco but never been. I use to go Aldi for my greens and veg pizzas but otherwise there's not much for choice except biscuits and soup. I think the catch is, if a supermarket realised it had everything people would need, it would save them from going to other stores and I think it's one reason why some places they sell a lot of commercial products which are good and not really good for you all in one store.

It would cost them more to produce organic or raw on the farms and take 3 times as much time to harvest and clean, but for cleaning we got machines that do that now. At the top of the supermarket pyramid is the person who makes the profit. That's what it's all about. Of course they're not just making money they're providing a service, but easier to use rather than do it yourself on the farm, but it's a dangerous service harming peoples health while those at the top of this game are profiting from these schemes. They don't care about me and you, but they do care about how their store managers are conducting business in the store, it's got to make them richer.

They don't care who they trade with either.

I'll give you an example. Starbucks, closed down all 9 of their coffee stores in the so called state of Israel because it didn't want to be known for working for a terrorist state or an illegal state, the bad reputation which came with this state like illegal occupation and murder of innocents, Starbucks didn't want to have anything to do with it. But Tescos are doing business with Israel, selling dates which are produced and are the ripest in the Muslim world. But the land on which the dates have been produced are on Arab land or occupied territory and this surely is illegal? is it not?! So when Tesco were asked why they would trade with a terrorist state, they said it was purely business and that people should not meddle with affairs of the business of the state and where profit is a potential, they will acquire it. This too is wrong!

But I'm thinking of growing my own food or vegetables, I want a small greenhouse sometime soon.

Oh so you do believe in religion and it's wise men? Yes yes, silence is better than meaningless words. Although saying what is truthful may be bitter and displeasing to some.

A good camera is an investment ain't it, I mean, who wouldn't want a DSLR, fair enough I paid £480 for it which isin't what the average would pay and it's now worth about £370 new, but it does the job for family pictures and outdoors and travels with a super sharp resolution etc I got a cheap one, I didn't spend over £500, I got a 3 year warranty with that too for £80.

What is with the religious hatred towards the Jews, Yes Israel was created for them, but they are originally from the area (modern day Iraq, and remember Jesus who was born in Bethlehem was a Jew himself), so have they not just been given back their land?

I know they are not guilt free but the troubles in the area are equally the fault of the Palestinians. What worries me is the fact you preach that we should be good etc, yet you show some serious religious hatred throughout this thread which is starting to border on extremism.

By the way I applaud you for wanting to grow your own food, we grow some of our own, however don't expect to be self sufficient, my parents who are retired, grow a lot on a considerable amount of land but due to space and growing times, this still needs to be supplemented.

Real Jews don't exist anymore, they died or lived many years ago during the Essene period, 200 BC. The last of the Jews or Orthodox Jews seperated from the secular Jews around 400BC who had sided with the Roman political elite government and the Essenes had been awaiting the messiah Jesus and they worshipped in caves around Jerusalem and Babylon or Sinai. Yes Jesus was a Jew but a clean pure Jew, not a Zionist and not a secular, but from the pure lineage of the house of Zacharia and Imran who were devout worshippers of Allah. The modern day Jews have no idea of their religious history, come from Poland and spread havoc everywhere they go. They run the government or are influencing the government's decisions in nearly all affairs and have no interest in religion whatsoever. Christ was never crucified and shall return in the last of days. The Jews will hope that he will be one of them but he will go to them and say, I am a Muslim (one who submits his will to Allah) and the Jews will try to kill him like they killed some of the previous prophets. And on and on. Everything has already been written, your provision was written before you were born.

The Palestinians are innocent, they are trapped, triple trapped in a prison of seclusion in Gaza all 4 sides. The Zionists will kill them all until Gaza is free land for the Jews. The british government and americans support the Jews and their agenda. So, it's not about religious hatred, its about what is right and what is wrong.
