Disgusting, you don't have to go that far. The truth is farmers are being paid to stop producing organic food, if they do they'll get sent to jail or fined or have their land taken away from them. They have to produce for the masses so, they do half a job which is where chemicals come in to use and we buy commercial or what we are told is fresh organic produce.

well, you can produce organic but not for supermarkets, nobody buys them because they're expensive, are only cultivated at a certain time in the year and not always available. Anyway, got rid of 2 iphones this week. All this extra cash I'm making on Gumtree and eBay will help cover the cost of my bike. I've made around half of what I paid for my bike in last 2 months. Didnt, get a chance to ride my bike, been doing lots of gardening today. Got someone coming from County Durham to buy some garden furniture so gave it a lick of presrvative, been doing that since 10am and came in at 4. Resting tomorrow, might ride tomorrow depending on weather.

Does anyone know what my bikes currently worth if I decided to sell it?

You do talk some b0110cks. Im in rural Somerset, there is organic beef cattle grazing at the end of my garden. Organic corn in the field beyond that. Lots of my friends work in organic farming because it's far more profitable than non organic, partly because of the extra subsidies they get from the government.
No one can take land away from farmers unless they start using it to produce illegal drugs.

I think you should meet my girlfriend, she happens to have a degree in archaeology and practices it in her spare time whilst also being a manager at Tesco. She may be able to teach you a few things and correct your misgivings.

Oh and by the way I've seen some of these caves, Petra to be precise and they're not that hard to get to. Plus if Giants were needed to carve out the caves, how big we're Egyptians to build the pyramids?

This is actually the most half sensible thing you have ever said although you haven't clearly seen a commercial greenhouse which can be the size of a small town for growing fresh produce out of season. But I agree, it's never quite the same.

Supermarkets have a lot to answer for and have a big majority of the public by the balls in terms of how they live their lives. They need regulating in how they price food and how they treat their suppliers in relation to pricing. Discounting a product and then saying to the supplier they will only pay a fraction of the cost price while that promotion runs is criminal. The supermarket should be taking the hot, not the supplier but unfortunately the supplier has little choice as they otherwise lose future business.

We are now paying the price for convenience and mass produced foods where now we have to pay over the odds for anything fresh or of quality. I would like to know how we let things get the a point were I can buy a ready meal cheaper than a bag of spinach. Forget the economies of scale and the fact it's mass produced and just think how utterly ridiculous this sounds. At least Lidl, Aldi and Costco are going against the grain.
