I understand you put it on your swede but it's not for xc or downhill and I don't really see the point of it for #enduro.

This is the type of enduro I was using mine for the other week. Are you saying it's not suitable for that?

Even when I'm riding in the Pennines or at trail centres like Lee Quarry, Wharncliffe, CyB etc when it points down I like to push it hard so I think it's more than suitable for ME!
Off topic, but were all the runs like that? looked awesome

Not dissimilar, although that section was the most wooded part. Was amazing how fast you could get down from the top of the Mountain of hell course compared to the megavalanche (similar hight) I did the other year with it being more man made type stuff.
Awesome place and I'd happily go again and recommend it 8) .

Same as most normal type helmets with padded strips that Velcro on. It fits well and is very comfy imo.

I did two rides over the weekend in the helmet, and pleasantly surprised both times.
XC with the family, lots of stop start and lots of chatting, didnt get in the way at all and kept it on the whole time, used normal riding glasses.
DH race sunday, Best bit, queuing up the start ramp with my helmet on and goggles on without steaming up or feeling uncomfortable bearing in mind how hot it was sunday, then getting to the bottom of the run and not having to rush to get the helmet off!
    Overall very pleased.

  • You went on a family ride in a full face helmet? How many people pointed and laughed?

Did get a few looks but in defence I was testing not something I would normally do.

I'd have to wear my 661 FF if I was to go on a family ride as its the only helmet I have. however, I don't go on family rides and I don't GAF about what other people think either so no issue with me.

Lets be honest, if you're on a family bike ride in a full face helmet you are going to look a right tool.
If you saw a roadie plodding along the local cycle route with wife and kids while wearing full TT kit you're first thought is going to be what a d!ck.

  • Another update on this. Got back from 3 days riding at Coed y Brenin yesterday. The helmet performed great. The weather was a good 20' all days. 1st 2 cloudy and humid, 3rd bright and sunny.
I found I was able to wear it all the time riding and there was a lot of climbing.. It was hot and I did sweat on the climbs but no worse than the people I was with that have normal helmets. The gel pads on the front/forehead section did a great job of stopping the sweat from going in my eyes for the most part and once I got a bit of wind flowing through it soon cooled of.
Overall I think it's near perfect for its intended use and covers a gap in the market that imo has been long overdue.

That's good to know as off there in a few weeks.

Just been out up the local trails on the fatty, used the camera mount for a light mount.
