    Great ride by Navardauskas and I'm happy for Garmin. I doubt he would have held on if the roads were dry but you take your chances in cycling.

    Hopefully the podium contenders haven't got bruises/injuries ahead of tomorrow.

    The French have reacted with lightening speed.
    ALL the riders given at 7 seconds.
    If that crash had been at 3.5kms, they would have neutralised the entire stage.

    The list I saw only had 163 riders, not 164. The missing name was Ji Cheng. :shock:

    If he didn't finish that really is a disaster to cycling fans globally. Can't see any info yet saying DNF.

    @giantfans_ 2m
    Still missing Cheng Ji in the results of today. Hopefully he finished on time.

    Also on ProCyclingStats..

    I hope it's right, I can go to bed happy now.

    Looking on the Tour website I understand that the ditch he crashed into is not expected to recover....

    GO CHENG JI!!!!!!!
    See you in Paris!

    Praise be to the flying spaghetti monster!

    The ditch is set to become the new reservoir for Bergerac and the burgemeester of Bergerac thanks Cheng Ji for saving the city millions of Euros. In Cheng's honour they will erect a gold statue of one of his legs in the town square.

    The guy is a tactical genius. He obviously foresaw that there would be a crash in the final 3k so the only way he could lose time and secure the lantern rouge was to ditch it. Quite literally.

    What a pro.
