Cheng is on the front of the peloton while no one from Giant drops back to help Kittel back on. That's probably an indication that they're working for Degenkolb today.

A fucking elephant! And I'mnot even talking about a stuffed one!

Real live elephant. Good. But it's not a stuffed boar with a missing leg.

Imagine if that elephant had got loose. It would have shaken up GC no end.

This stage is a bit like that. You wish for something exciting to happen, like when you're drawn to the side of the train tracks when you're bored waiting for a train.

isn't it a bit weird to have a transition stage so late in the race?

Fairly standard I think. Particularly when the Pyrenees come after the Alps.

There's a little gecko living in one of our cupboards. I hardly ever see it but occasionally it makes a short sprint up the wall and then freezes.

    I've named it Chris Horner...

    Rain+Roundabouts+sprint finish=problems....

Perhaps the elephant is a homage to Pantani.

If Valverde and Peraud were on the podium with Nibali, it would be 100% Campagnolo.... you have to go back 16 years for a Campagnolo sponsored winner

Crap weather this Tour. It's either been peeing down or boiling hot. No wonder we've had so many chest infections and the like. Some of the riders probably have a mushroom farm in their lungs.

I used to love Bergerac on the TV - John Nettles was great. It was never this wet though, as I remember it....

A mates dad used to live near Bergerac. We rode down from San Malo one year, back when I were a lad.
