De la Cruz, in the break, crashes and abandons straight from the breakaway. Langeveld also down, but back in the break

They're drenched in sunshine... it's melting tarmac that's the problem today!

P&P just saying that it was caused by De La Cruz having a front puncture as he was taking that bend.

Breakaway beware. Cheng doing his thing at the front of the peloton.

Do as I do, stream it on EuroSport via Cycling Fans and listen to it. Switch your apps back to work and toil away in TDF utopia.

Well I hope we don't end up with a Beloki moment later on. There are a couple of long descents towards the end of this stage :|:|

What's happening today? Any distance and gap information?

Also, did we have a minutes silence at the start of today as a mark of respect for the hero Talansky?

Edit- I see Ron has covered it. Thanks.

    This is so dull

    Music for adverts.

Yep, especially adverts advertising sh1t music.

    This is harsh.

Couple of Europcar guys have slipped off the front of the peloton on the climb. Kittel still there but only just.

Edit - Giant look like they're setting things up for a Degenkolb day & Kittel is loosing touch.

Duly done but the gap is well below 1min. I doubt that will be enough.
