“This is anti-sporting,” an angry Valverde told Spanish radio at the line.

Plus Movistar drove on at every crash in the 2012 Tour, that Vuelta incident was probably payback.

MICHAEL MATTHEWS SAID HIS TEAM DEFINITELY DIDNT RIDE AFTER THE CRASH HAPPENED. THEY TRIED TO NEUTRALISE THE RACE BUT OTHER TEAMS WANTED TO STILL RIDE.

I would agree with that given his actions earlier in the race with neutralising. I wonder if he felt pressured to ride on this time given the sh@t he took previously.

Interesting point from Cosmo on the level of cooperation in the lead group. Evans does go rather wide there.

Movistar are the one team who have no place to say anything about riding on after crashes...

You could however watch the whole race and calculate how much time Orica was on the front. One short pull.

Tell you what. You do that and let me know what your findings are.

I did it already days ago. How about you go and do it or just stop trying every angle you can.

Robert Millar's take on BMC's actions.

Uses the words 'moral level' but then constructs an argument built on the threat of peloton retribution.

Paolo Tiralongo, superb rider that he is, was the only who was at Caruso's side seeing how he was even after coming down hard himself.

Ambulance folk too way way too long to get to him as well (over 5mins).

Important recognition for Paolo Tiralongo. The veteran Sicilian is busy these days on the roads of the Tour of Italy but he received the Fair Play Award due to his actions in the stage of Montecassino.

The Astana rider was involved in the famous fall that has knocked out several athletes, but he waited a few minutes before the start despite the stage being in full swing, to make sure Giampaolo Caruso was attended to after he was badly injured.

This gesture led the jury consisting of journalists of this special award, organized by the International Panathlon to give him the title.

A gesture of "exquisite altruism and human solidarity" to Tiralongo, which hopefully will "serve as an example to young people." Said the journalists who decided.
