A £1 coin is 3mm thick (I often use one as a depth gauge).
The gizmo looks like something that I was going to make to try to punch the middle bit out of a £2 coin (how do they get that bit in there so tight????)~~~~~~Sustrans - Join the Movement~~~~~~0 -

Why try and get the middle out of a £2? Trying to make 2 £1 coins?
The new £1 coin will also be a 2 section coins.
