QS riding as if they really don't want to mess this up. Quite a sight.

Still got to account for the break pissing about a bit at the end to contest the sprint of course. Hope the peloton doesn't ease up at all (just for the spectacle) but I think they might be now??

Cut away just as Cav/Degenkolb get to the line, no countdown back to the break. Awful in places this coverage, so much info but nothing useful, it's like the BBC at the Olympics!

No, this coverage is appalling really, sh1te pictures, wrong captions, cut-aways at the most stupid of moments. Total crap really. People are getting paid to produce this! (and people are paying to see it!)

You could load a rotating screen saver full of stills and talk sh1t over it and it would be about the same quality.

Well that answers the question about whether we need onboard bike cameras - it's the only way we'll ever know what the hell happened if this bunch of clowns ever manage to barricade themselves into the editing suite again.

Would love to know if the terrible estimate of distance remaining was responsible for the peloton messing up the chase.

That's a thought...I'm sure Cav will let us know... ;)

Have to say, Boonen's always good surprisingly good value helping teammates, given his palmares.

There are a fair few riders out there who give every impression of simply enjoying racing, whether working for themselves or anyone else. Boonen clearly has it, Cavendish too (he certainly threw himself into the water-bottle challenge as a super-sprinting domestique at Sky). Funnily enough, the more talented amongst them also tend to be the ones whose teams will bury themselves to assist.

I used to spend a lot of time rowing/sculling/coxing/generallymuckingaboutonrivers and came to detest swans. Basically they're a more aggressive duck that refuses to bloody well sink, and you're not even allowed to eat them unless you can use a ten quid note as your ID.

In unrelated news, onboard cameras are bloody ace.

Wiggins the only GC rider not to find himself behind a split in the bunch, gaining him 4 seconds on all his competitors.

Will you have an onboard camera while doing it?

Shame we didn't bloomin' see it. If they had shown the GC times we would have known! Or had onboard cameras

Haha, if this ever pops up as the gopro "video of the week" I will know who to blame!
