Ask MF if he's ever heard of selfies....0 -

The thread title is a real give away.
Selfies, for the vain and educationally challenged

For my bike? Fair play to that.0 -
Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not a fan of the selfie, just surprised there aren't any on here.0

Big ride from Cambs to Brighton. Gloomy till London then clouds gave way to sun for leg 2.
Standard pier photo. Remainder are gluttonous selfies and some professional on Ditchling so won't put you through that.

Trying to convince my pal to get a specialissima but no joy yet.0

Absolutely crap pictures, either take one of the pier, the bike or the railings. But not all 3.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

Can't disagree with that. Unfortunately it was a long old ride and couldn't be arsed by the time I got there. Went for a swim instead of working the angles.0

There were people, and a badly parked car to the right. Otherwise you’re quite right. I’m left handed, and my eyes tend to be drawn to the left side of photos naturally first, so if I’m doing a subject gradiated photo, the main subject is usually on the left.0 -
FFS who cares! Way too much criticism on this forum, it seems to have gone from posting a quick photo from a ride to a competition to display the ultimate framed photo and God forbid anything should be a mm out of place.0

It does kind of matter as it's nice to be able to take good photos and it's also nice when people appreciate them. A bit of criticism helps one improve. After all, photos are easy to take more of when you're next out.
Anyway, in MM1's photo, although the position of the bike is a bit weird, the bars lead up to a trail of people walking into the sea, which draws the eye away from the rather bleak looking low tide spot in the center of the photo.0
