Why is that not a proper bike?

This is a road bike forum. That is an ugly contraption for going where bikes were never intended to go. :D

I haven't been on here for ages and didn't know it was a road bike forum now.
I will leave you to wear your lycra, take up the whole road and put cream on your arse.
    :)

Edit, I see that's in the Road Bike part.
I just saw 'show us your bikes' in the new posts.

Oor Ziggy! Or something like that.
Anyway, you should have been up in the hills where the sun was shining! No time or energy for any pics though.

Don't worry, this was from last year. Just found it when cleaning out a drive.

I've been out non stop for the past 12 days - still have two more days of holiday to go and the sun is blazing once again!

Is it a stupid question to ask why there are so many photos of grubby bars with 2 computers on? Have I missed something?

Anyway, here are a couple of photos from Broad Haven in Pembrokeshire

Possibly rental bikes? A lot of rental companies like you to keep their computers on, even if you have your own device, to allow them to log mileage for maintenance schedules etc.

MM takes 2 computers with him whereever he goes. I think he is a ride leader of sorts do does a lot of miles, albeit at quite a slow pace and if you read some of his posts, a ridiculously slow cadence.

For some reason they are also uploaded in duplicate so his annual mileage appears double.

Correct. Although the second computer on those bikes is a dumb speedo, and doesn’t record anything, the other recorder is my phone.

Correct, ( British Cycling / Various charitable foundations and Brewdog ) I’m only allowed to / supposed to ride at the pace of the slowest rider. I can’t help that.

    Low Cadence.

One or the other system always screws up, I haven’t got the time or inclination to sort it out, so at least one ride is recorded properly each time out, I don’t give a monkey’s about ‘Strava stats’.

Lots of “dirty bar tape” shots, which says I actually ride my bikes a lot, to annoy the idiots that rarely actually ride their bikes

Not quite a local. My mother in law is from here and they have a place down by the beach in Tenby. So we come down during the school holidays as the kids love it down here. So I just pick a few routes from the Tenby Aces website and see what it brings.

I've enjoyed the climbing, but the descents are very narrow and often blind and twisty so if you don't know them you can never let the bike go.

A lot of the photos lately are crap. At least try to compose a half decent photo people, otherwise they aren't worth looking at.

Or, can the OP rename the thread "any old sh1t photo you took whilst out on your bike".

Yep, climbing is one thing we're not short of in Pembs! If you haven't done so, head up to the Preselis, some lovely routes up there and some decent climbs and decents. We've been lucky with weather last few weeks here, warm sunny and best of all light wind. Usually it blows like a mail order bride so get the gruesome struggle into headwinds.

Not had a chance to head up there yet, it's a bit far from Tenby. I get away with it at the moment as it's a case of getting up early, heading out for a few hours and back just after breakfast. Preselis looks like it's a drive from the house, so might need to be more sensitive about how I go and when I get back

It's subjective, of course, but your photos lack an interesting subject, are poorly composed and your bike is aesthetically unpleasing. I do like the one of the lake with swans.

If you're going to post photos online, don't get butt-hurt if you receive critique.

It does have a bike in it rather than just handlebars and a computer.

    Isabella plantation?
