The Darent valley is pretty special. Just a bit blighted by all the nearby motorways and Orpington. Lovely bike by the way and at least you can get a nice coffee and cake over that bridge.0 -

I won't heard much said about Orpington. I learnt to swim at the Walnuts pool, and had my first proper bike crash on the War memorial roundabout. Happy days.0 -

Nice views, have they gone through some kind of vintage postcard filter?0 -

Great job! That is a bloody hard climb.
A couple of years ago on a hot day, I did a loop from Interlaken taking in the Männlichen climb followed by the Grosse Scheidegg, down to Meiringen and then back to Interlaken.
I was totally cooked at the top of the Scheidegg!0 -

I did the almost-reverse route, Lucerne--Meiringen--Grosse Schiedegg--Grindelwald--Männlichen--Interlaken--Thun.
I managed a very impressive 31 minutes for the last 3.5km up to Männlichen. My Garmin thought I'd died.0 -

Llamberis pass was super busy yesterday... by contrast the parallel A5 was deserted this morning at 9 AM... what a difference a bit of sunshine makes :-) What a road that is... the top is just like Glencoeleft the forum March 20230 -
