Relatively quiet for now. Odd claim that the UCI is covering this up by publishing? Probably want more of a fanfare.

They just add to it. It has Menchov there as well.

Yeah... I've since read the various F5 comments on twitter... seems UCI intend to just upload a doc with a new line in it each time they bust someone...

Have to say, I'm outraged that they didn't announce this on Tuesday. How dare the Brian Cookson not follow the way it has always been done! :P

The 'anti-doping' media (both regular and social) don't want clean cycling. They want scandal. With Menchov, a three time Grand Tour winner being banned was of secondary importance for them compared to the UCI not telling them so they could make a fuss.

    The system works...

Hopefully he'll go down the Millar road rather than the steadfast denial route.

Also, I thought Sky did all that sort of analysis before signing anyone

Just for clarity, is the suggestion that he doped before joining SKY (in order to get into the big leagues), or that he has doped while at SKY? It's the former right?

Correct. Case was based on values registered while at Endura

The dodgy readings are specifically from late 2012 when he was an Endura rider, not 2013, hence why he's been DQed fro the Tour of Britain & Worlds. Prior to that he wasn't on the passport, but his form was similar throughout 2012 and crap in 2013.

He's backed him in the past. I doubt this has anything to do with either team. More likely he was doing it alone.

There's only so much any team can do on someone without a bio passport.

Ask Dan Staite, I doubt it can be mega bucks if plucky amateurs and sportive warriors are also doping.

Ah but they are using doping product this is bio-passport so therefore clever and sophistimicated; implying blood and epo.

A vial of EPO isn't that expensive. About £100-200 I think.

Takes more than one for a good season no? Don't think he was on shedloads at Endura.

It is very sad. I had hoped he would be cleared after presenting whatever medical evidence he had. Irrespective of that, the old story of someone suddenly getting spectacular results before being found to have doped generally seems to hold true.

I wouldn't hold out much hope of Kreuziger getting off his Bio Passport case.

I would but I haven't seen today's race - the doping thread full of evidence against today's winner will have been bumped up the front page.

He did ride under Brailsford during the period in question though (at the Worlds).

People say that he rode for Brailsford at the World's but that's really just a finger-pointing exercise. Teams for the World's probably spend about 3 days together MAX. And even less of that time with DB himself.

I somehow doubt SDB phoned up JTL and said "right Jon, we're riding for you as you were brilliant on the climbs in Tour of Britain, especially Caerphilly, the course is right up your alley and we have no one else suitable... just make sure you 'prepare' properly".

If he doped to win ToB (and those early European races he was called out for doing), and he was still doped for the Worlds, pinning that on DB is tenuous.
