Haven't seen one of these yet, so am cranking one up.

Looking forward to seeing how Sam Bennett fares in this. A couple of young British riders in the Netapp-Endura team too.

Has Bennett finished a race of this distance before?

Of the 3 live races on tv, this will be my first port of call.
Should be on about 1-15pmBST!(I wanted to be the first)
Sporza feeds might be awkward, but RTBF (French) usually OK.

Obligatory E3 is a superior race comment.

    Word.

I'd move G-W to a mid week spot and put E3 on a Sunday if I was in charge.

    Goes without saying.

See now I would agree with you about Lombardy but some others (cough *rick* cough) would have you believe that it's just a World RR warm up.

Yeh, don't really know what you were thinking with the Tour of California.

  • 223km to go, 5 man group that went from the gun has about 2 and a half minutes.

In that group are... Sebastian Lander, BMC (Den), Manuaele Boara, Saxo (Ita), Marcel Aregger, IAM (Swi), Jaco Venter, MTN (RSA) and Frederik Veuchelen Wanty Group (Bel).

Incidentally, the weather is excellent and my hangover, from touring Gent with a fellow BR forumite yesterday, is manageable

There's hardly a race they've been in this season where Qhubeka haven't got a man in the break. Well played.

  • The race is taking a jaunt into France this year and passing by several WW1 battlefields and cemeteries to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War

Boonen reckons his thumb will be fine for next week. It's just bruised but currently sore on the cobbles.
