Like I say, raw nerve! Class my ar*e. You got in the top Division by finishing 7th in the second, had a manager fond of backhanders in brown envelopes, a captain banged up for endangering lives, drug users that you've condoned, unlike us with Mutu and Bosnich, and an unbeaten record that was only maintained because a ref fell for Pires' cheating. You can carry on thinking you have exclusivity on 'class', whatever that is in relation to football!

Tim I do know you're a real Arsenal/football man, and unlike some you know the game, but you do dislike us because we are winning and have been more successful than you in recent years. You just can't bring yourself to admit it. The reason you claim not to have heard, 'a peep' from us as you put it, was because we were not a threat to the cosy status quo then. Hence you weren't bothered by us, now you are.

As for not seeing people wearing Chelsea colours years ago, not that people wore them back in the day, you'll find that for a good few years not many took as many away as us. So I can only assume you were either not there for example on this day. I was, as were Arsenal friends in the North Bank, and they all still claim that they have never seen an away support like it. And it was not unusual in those days, even though we were not winning trophies. So when people claim that we weren't there I know we were and true honest football people know we were. Did we have years in the doldrums? Yes, a lot of clubs did. We were blighted by a huge debt, property developing vultures and also right wing morons attaching themselves to the club, though we were not the only ones.

So excuse all Chelsea fans if we gloat a bit and enjoy our moment in the sun, we waited and endured long enough. I know the game goes in cycles and for the past ten years it's been our time to enjoy winning, I had to put up with enough from Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool fans for years so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. And judging by our start this season it might not be for much longer!

Quite agree. If certain people can't take the sh1t, then why dish it out in the first place?

Anyway, back to footy. Why the poor performances in the League cup by big teams? More important fish to fry or simply poor against industrious opposition?

I suppose people had to compensate for the lack of Kopites on here lately. Welcome back

Banter. Pure and Simple. Like most family men my age I cant get to the terraces as much as I would like and even then the Taylor report makes me sit down and shut up :D

No bad thing, the games changed but the tribalism of fans goes on and that's why we love it so much.

Cornerblock is absolutely right, back in the late 70 and 80s and through the 90's I didn't hear much from Chelsea because they weren't contenders well to be fair they ve changed that and my only regret about the whole thing is that the Late great Matthew Harding isn't about to see the power house his club has become.

As for great support on the North Bank, Unfortunately for me I spent the best part of 15 years worrying more about battles on the West Bank and any where else we had oil interests , whilst my Brother became the family custodian of long dead Uncles season ticket.

Exiled to the North a trip to the Emirates costs me a good £150 all in now a days and results in a very pissed off Nephew who has to surrender his seat to Uncle Knob Head.

The upside. I ve Captained my Country and appeared at Centre back for it over 50 times ( so with 78 caps and a lot better "scoring record" :D than me) another reason why I don't like JT.

When the only colours you can play in are D.P.M you have to take your delusions of grandeur where you can.

Cornerblock has me nailed again, Yes Arsenal under Henry Norris bought their way into the league much to the cost and chargrin of our ever loving North London rivals ( so total hypocrisy on our behalf to bemoan any club whos money has got them up the league.)

It still remains though! A real Enigma how Jose has taken a team that won last seasons title at a canter to the team that Chelsea are now. If I didn't want to come across all Manc 33 I would say theres a conspiracy at play.

Surely being a great manager is about galvanising your team and bringing the best out of individuals? I cant figure out what has gone wrong at Chelsea, I don't think the squad of players is any less, But players like Fabregas , Matic and Hazard ( all of whom I would have given my right arm to see in an Arsenal shirt last season) just don't appear to be the same players anymore?

My over riding impression of Jose is that he has to be the centre of attention , and the excuse that this is to deflect pressure from the players is BS, Hes just simply an ego maniac. ( Champions league Winners, Title Winners even World Cup winners such as the players named above, Know how to deal with pressure they don't need Jose to protect them. I think a prime case is the clash of Egos with CR7 at Madrid.

It would be the footballing story of the Century and akin to the Mugmashers 2005 champs league comeback if Jose can lift this Chelsea squad to winning anything this year. I d actually like to see it ( but still scream conspiracy , just a bit too Hollywood) but if the afore mentioned Liverpool win at the Bridge on Saturday surely the most divisive manager in Prem history will go , one way or another?

The Chelsea/Jose demise is down to one thing in my opinion. The opening game vs Swansea and the furore and fallout from is actions against the team doctor and team physio. I think that has lost him the respect of the players and many of the supporters. He showed himself up to be a right idiot, when a simple public apology would have set things straight. Hope to see him depart by Monday morning.

That's arguable. Klippety Klopp might just do better than Rodgers and keep Liverpool in the PL.

I know Brenda wasn't very good but he never got them relegated.

Hopefully Stamford Bridge will give the visiting Liverpool fans a good rendition of the Stevie Gerrard song tomorrow, just for old times' sake :)

My suggestion was, that if Rodgers had stayed on, they would have been relegated.

Not sure I'd trust your impartiality with the whistle Tim! I'd give JT 30 seconds before the red appeared for an aggressive handshake.

B.A.O.R and 1 BR Corps Captain 1989- 1993 . Even captained a winning side against the Germans. Bit of a stretched claim I know Pinno, Only played twice for the full Army team at Aldershot ( Guy Whittingham was the only exile to get an actual pro contract) and no I never had trails and I wouldn't have been good enough, but I still play regularly with a man who won the European Cup.

I Can understand Jose's fixation with Wenger now, He was after his Job. No not the Arsenal Managers Seat but the title of " Specialist in Failure".

I actually hope he stays and shows the real quality he is capable of, there is no denying he is a great manager, really cant work out whats gone wrong? Must have lost the dressing room over this Eva Carneiro business.
