That's a damn good price - it's pretty much what RM paid Manure for Cristiano Ronaldo. Nice little war chest for future investment.

So the pay off has been revealed before he's been sacked?!!
    What a lovely employer.

    Chelsea managerial pay off's:

    1. André Villas-Boas (Chelsea, 2012) – €30m

    2. José Mourinho (Chelsea, 2007) : €23m

    3. Luiz Felipe Scolari (Chelsea, 2009) : €17m

    4. José Mourinho (Chelsea, 2015) : €14m

    5. Antonio Conte (Chelsea, 2018) : €10.3m

    6. Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea, 2011) : €7m

    7. Maurizio Sarri (Chelsea, 2019) : €5.6m

    €107m (£95m at today's exchange rate) in 12 years.

Oh well, at least Hazard's fee will go towards instalments.

I think you'll find most of those are in the past and already paid. In any event, Roman was happy to pay :)

Still, better to pay a bit more and win some decent trophies

That was a long time ago though.
Imagine being so far behind the scousers and the Mancs?
We can take it on the chin because we're Arsenal supporters. Chelsea fans must be squirming.
No transfers in season 2019/20. No CL victory - forget it. No PL win and a top 4 is highly unlikely so no CL footie until season ending '21, which means theoreticallY no CL final (ha ha ha - in yer dreams) till at least 2022.
Without Hazard, you'll be shyte. I mean really shyte. Below Arsenal in the league.
What manager in his right mind is going to take on a club with no transfers for a season?
[Except a manager who's willing to forsake his reputation for a big pay off at the end of a year or so - i'll do it]

As i've said before, you'll have to dine on the one win for a long time to come. At least until you are of pensionable age.

A Chinese global conglomerate who haven’t been barred from owning property in Switzerland nor had any visa applications denied by HMG.

I love this contradiction in terms, especially the last sentence:

"Despite a transfer ban looming, the current balance sheet is as healthy as ever for the West London club. Profits at Chelsea in the year ending last June increased dramatically on the previous 12 months, from £13.1m to £65.3m, thanks to increased revenue and player sales, including Diego Costa. Intangible assets have increased from £230m to £369m, the club said. However, the total debt owed to Abramovich by the parent company increased by £75m last year and now stands at a total of £1.25bn".

Hope he doesn't call... his own debt in?!

He's the owner so how likely do you think that is? :) More likely to sell to Jim Ratcliffe (who's worth twice as much) if he really wants out.

Anyway, haven't asked this for a while...
