Theoretically they could wrap it up in three weeks or so, send out the reserve team for the rest of the season and save their first team for the CL etc......

Which could completely f*ck up my fantasy football team.

I would like to see them do well in the CL.

In the absence of decent opposition, only Brighton played well.

(and that comes from an Arsenal supporter).

Wilstshire ran your show and Ozil looked dangerous but without Sanchez you were toothless. You need a big clear out.

And dependant on who they have left to play they could still go unbeaten for the rest of the season.

I think they are quite good which is magnified by the crapness of everyone else.

What?! We've had years of clear outs:

    Fabregas
    Van Persie
    Clichy
    Podolski
    Sanchez
    Giroud
    Ashley Cole

    ...and it hasn't worked.

We need a new board and a new manager.

I’m not bragging about anything, merely making a point about how poorly Chelsea played in that game. What my team have or haven’t done in the past is irrelevant. But you seem incapable of giving an honest appraisal of anything, always trying to deflect into someone else, so I’m not particularly surprised you tried it on me too.

Is it just me, as a Chelsea fan, that thinks that everyone apart from City is crap this season and the remainder of the league positions are only being finalised by who is marginally more or less crap on the day.............
Ah, the old "they only won it cause everyone else was shite" defence. Highlighted when Leicester won it because that is the only way it could happen.
Never give praise when there is the opportunity for criticism, or deflection.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Personally, I think City have had a psychological effect on the rest of them.

At least there's quite a scrap at the bottom to stay up with so little separating them. Although, no matter how much I dislike a team or a manager (Pardew), watching a team head towards certain relegation isn't much fun.

Nope, just the appropriate response to someone who isn't interested in football but comes onto a footy thread to make a comment like that. I think there's a name for people like that

Have to agree with Bomp there, it's one of the many joys of not being a football fan. I only pay attention to football scores if Arsenal or Man U lose to wind up the fans in the office. Can't wind up the West Ham supporter, he's used to losing.
I only looked at this thread as I thought it odd that RC was posting on it.

What football fans struggle to come to terms with is that it is the main reason for them too. The actual sport is way down on priorities. As evidenced in this thread.

Not at all. I appreciate the teams that are greater than the sum of all their parts and managers that get reams to gel and play football well.
    Burnley springs to mind.
Leicester when they won the league.
    City currently.
Carvalho's effect on Swansea etc etc

I would be a happier Arsenal fan if my team showed some fight and determination, some resolve. Arsenal is a big club with an illustrious past so with it comes expectation - not year in year out mediocraty.
Now if you were say a Bournemouth side, your expectations would be different. Perhaps taking a big scalp here and there and staying in the division.

Anyway, i'm sort of glad the league title is nearly done and dusted as it won't be a distraction when the spring classics proper start.

    Fair point.

Still, the scenes in East London got most of the press. Personally I reckon the West Ham fans were provoked by the Burnley supporters singing 'The wheels on your house go round and round' :D
