What's the gripe with the West Ham fans?

    A few things.......

The Olympic Stadium is crap for housing a football team, with the seats so far from the pitch. Also, the stadium was made on the cheap and wasn’t fitted out with the facilities you’d expect in a modern stadium. They’re also annoyed that it has no soul and doesn’t feel like their stadium, which is kind of ironic because it isn’t, they only lease it. To show how badly the new stadium is from a financial point of view, it has a capacity approx 60% more than their old place yet their match day income has risen less than 10% because they’re having to sell tickets dirt cheap to get people to go.

The owners and Karen Brady are absolutely hated by the fans, am sure there are a bunch of reasons (the state of their new stadium being one)

Of course, their team being pretty shit isn’t helping.

    They are always griping.

Also known as the worst travelling fans in the English leagues.

I remember exchanging words with a couple of them once on a train - too much effing and c'ing from them around women and kiddies.

    Horrible bunch of oiks.

What was Jamie Carragher thinking

Will be interesting to see if Sky give him the old heave-ho?!

    RE this. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 53156.html

Is it just me being really old fashioned but is spitting at somebody utterly vile and should carragher be sacked immediately?

Or is this behaviour now accepted in the general public?

I'm finding the messages of support quite weird.

    A few things here.

Footballer gets goaded by tw@t fan, responds with tw@t behaviour.

    Firstly, is anyone surprised?

Secondly, what does it have to do with the quality of his punditry?

Thirdly, driver was using a mobile phone whilst driving, so presumably he's getting points on his licence, right?

Err - he spat at someone. That might be your normal level of behaviour and deemed quite acceptable but not round these parts.

Nothing to do with his punditry but of you're happy with watching someone who spits at people over a football result then I refer you to the point above.

    Fair point.

Still, the scenes in East London got most of the press. Personally I reckon the West Ham fans were provoked by the Burnley supporters singing 'The wheels on your house go round and round' :D

And yet 85% of their fans voted to move to this souless place and spent a lot of time crowing that they had beaten Spurs to it.

West Ham fans are upset because their team are shit and most of the players seemingly couldn't care less - if they were challenging for Europe no-one would be particularly bothered. My heart bleeds for the over-entitled darlings.

Article on driving while using a mobile phone spends more space on a "celeb's" bad behaviour.
    Hmmmm.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Hmmmm.

Spitting at someone isn't potentially life threatening but I see your point.
It's rather hypocritical of someone to make big noises about 'oooh, a celeb spat at my daughter... naughty' whilst driving and using a mobile.

I think Carragher's behaviour is abhorrent BTW.

I thought the football was boring at the weekend.
After all, where is the fun in all the big teams winning?
I just wind up the arrogant and cocky. Even the Essex Reds have a sense of perspective today.

As attempts go to justify trolling, that's a bit weak. Mind you, your game is pretty obvious these days so easy enough to discount or ignore.

Really solid 3 points on Sunday. I’m more worried about losing Eriksen in the summer than any other player. He makes the whole side tick, similar to when Modric was at Spurs but Eriksen also pops up with a decent number of goals and assists.

May i suggest that the unfashionable team deserving of support for the rest of the season is Fulham. Let's hope they can pip Cardiff and prevent Colin managing in the PL.

Yep, very much wanting to see them get promoted. Craven Cottage is a great away day match.
