Plenty of mancs of the light blue variety over the weekend. Must be really strange for them to see a bright fiery ball in a blue sky.
On a depressing note. I fear that Cherries could have a very difficult season with probable relegation. They defied expectations of a return to Champ last season but this time around feels different.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -

What, even applying the 'we only need to be the fourth worst' test? I think we will finish below you. There are a few others who look decidedly dodgy too.0 -

Yup, its going wrong for The Arse big time.
Citeh with Sachez would be like the Harlem Globetrotters. Then you have the ManUre giants.0 -
I don't think Arsenal have ever exploited Oxlade-Chamberlain's work rate. Why they let him go, I have no idea.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

An improvement on a 2-0 home win almost a year ago so this team is quite clearly on the the up so get behind them! Just need to find some low level neanderthals with legit passports who are available to take the Russian hooligans on pre-match. Well seeing as Wayne and JT no longer play in the games themselves....0 -

Pissed up hooligans and casuals are no match for ex-forces still in shape looking for action. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Already seems like I will be looking forward to Championship football next season. If Cherries don't beat Brighton next weekend then I think they will be doomed. I know it's early but that mindset once things fall apart is very difficult to break.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0

Cheers fella. WBA were very generous for an hour. We naively switched off after the third and then kept giving them the ball back. If they'd have played like that from the off, may well have been a different story. On yesterday's performance WBA could be in the mix too.
Mr Goo, when the fixtures were released I guess you looked at Friday as a target for 3 points. Lots of pressure. Maybe too much? At least you have been a bogey team for us of late.0 -
I bet the Crystal Palace fans are chuffed to little mint balls at the thought of the very dynamic Woy stepping in to save their season :shock:Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0

Last couple of matches against the Seagulls in the Championship were not exactly a cakewalk for Cherries, always touch and go. Plus Glen Murray is going to want to exact some kind of revenge for being let go by Eddie Howe.
I have to say that only a win for Cherries is acceptable. But the way Howe has been managing the team since the summer is worrying and i reckon that Brighton could easily get something from the game. Rumours of discontent amongst the players. The signing of Defoe for £80k+ per week is clearly looking to be a mistake of grand proportions.
On a bright note at least the Packers got off to a good start by beating the Seahawks with a good defensive performance.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -

"Frank had prepared a long presentation about himself and he researched about the club and where we were. He took a lot of time and trouble to articulate what his philosophy, thinking and feelings were about the club and what he could achieve. We spoke about Inter and what went wrong and what lessons he learnt there."
"We are hoping not to just improve the first team but to look at the whole set-up of the club and use his knowledge, experience and probably the blueprint of a club that does things the right way in Ajax. It's about improving players and buying the right talent at the right age."
De Boer is Palace's first foreign permanent manager.
"It's not about whether they're British or foreign, it's knowledge and belief," said Parish. "For example, when I look at a manager from abroad in the middle of the season, they don't know a lot of our squad. They have to come over, find a house, get their family settled. By then, two, three or four games have gone by. We now have six or seven weeks of full pre-season and someone who speaks very good English and good knowledge of the world game."
- S Parish, 26th June.
Not forgetting the wish-I'd-never-said-that as above.
Not overlooking the huge pay off for sacking Frank DeFeat.
Recalling that they mullered Burnley and only lost because of a suicidal back pass and a host of missed sitters.
Noting that Zaha is out injured.
But maybe mostly take into account that Zaha doesn't like Roy for not picking him for England.
What a mess.0 -
My God, how on earth is Dougie Freedman a sporting director and passing judgement on someone like De Boer? To try and change that squad like he was from hustle and bustle to a team of passers with three at the back would take a couple of seasons, not two months.0
-
Couldn't get over the Irony of Dougie Friedman passing judgement of Frank De Boer.
Okay the man wasn't right for the Job and has paid the price ( or rather been paid the price ). Its a bit like when I see Robbie Savage and Joey Barton as pundits on the TV.0
