Didn't need the edit. Igot it.

Any reason you call your youngest 'Shorty'?
I assume Tricky is not fair haired or she would be Blondie.

She's the shortest one in the family and Tricky has learning difficulties but she is very bright, just has her own way of doing/arranging things. It's the internet innit - no proper nouns.
Shorty was short listed for a poetry reading. She won her class year and next Thursday, will stand up on the stage in front of the whole school and recite the poem. I'm very proud of Shorty - she is only 6.
Hang on, i'll see if I can find it...

The poem is by J K Annand, not Robert Burns.

    We soopit and we shovelled
And made a man o snaw
    Wi chuckie stanes for buttons
    For een and neb ana.

    We gied him Geordie's gravat
    And Grandpa's auld lum hat,
    We even borrowed Faither's pipe
Did he no girn at that!

And ilka ane that saw him
    Declared that he looked braw.
But och! the thowe cam far owre quick
    And meltit him awa.

Sounds like you have 2 smashing kids. Shorty is doing well if she recite that. Remarkable for 6.
It is a cliche, but enjoy them. They grow up so quick.

    Barry man.

Anyways, seeing as how it's Burns' Night, tonight I 'ave been mainly 'aving pasta puttanesca accompanied by a rather acceptable tempranillo garnacha blend. Europeans we are, see. F off UKRAPers.

They do. Tricky was 8 last Sunday. Hard to comprehend.
There was a part if me that resented parking my life when I had kids, admittedly. Now, I don't care. They are 'life'.
    The landscape changed irrevocably.

I'm with you 'Loon. I'm also praying for a no brexit deal.
Poor Bally, having to drink English bitter.
