Does Madagascar look like a piece of wasteground, left over from the 1980s?

    TIA

I know a great place near Sort, near the Coll de Canto, Boixols. Great for both road and MTB and with excellent catering...

Just paid $8 for a pint of IPA and it wasn't even a full sized imperial pint.

Would be quite apt if it came in a mug.

I used to like 8 Ace. His one forteh nine was always going to be spent on Ace at Patel's micro-mart, and he'd end up pissing hissel' while his missus brayed him with a frying pan or similar. I was delighted to discover when he was up in court that his full name is Octavius Federidge Tinsworth Ace.

That was a cheap pint. Seems everyone, residents and tourists are 'mugged' in NY.
Off to do one of the few freebies today, Staten Island Ferry.

    Lass: Divvent Na, pet
Sid (jerking two thumbs up to chest): Moi

Mr Goo, you won't get an imperial pint in the US. But I guess you knew that. And it doesn't sound that much of a rip-off.

Posted this in another thread last week but worth reposting as it always makes me laugh:

  • Cheers Stevo, that was ace. Made me laugh out loud, and I went shopping in ASDA this afternoon. I was a devotee of Viz for years and miss Paul Wicker the Tall Vicar, The Parkie, and Terry Fuckwitt. Sometimes I think the best stories were the one offs - Garry Bushell the Bear and Diana Ross' Dogshit Museum were pure genius.
I remember Simon (forgotten name) on Radcliffe and Maconies show years ago and he said summat like: you could sit down with Viz, read it and pass an hour of your life and you wouldn't have learnt a bloody thing.
    I like that.

Cheers, I'll have to dredge the memory banks a bit more.

I remember Viz well as I used to have to translate some of it from Geordie to English for my mates when I was student :)

    Ta BBG.

Some of the one offs were top stuff. The gypsy cartoon strips were brilliant, and the Real Ale Tw@t's were a good side show.

Also used to like Finbarr Saunders, Biffa Bacon, Roger Mellie, Student Grant, Norbert Colon, Pathetic Sharks, Buster Gonad, Johnny Fartpants, Cockney W@nker, Millie Tant and the Modern Parents (the last two remind me of certain people in Cake Stop :P )
