Are we on here now and not the daily thread?

    Or both?

    Or either?

    It's an amalgam.

I went to M&S to get something, forgot what it was so bought some of that Delirium Belgain beer stuff instead.

I got the missus a seventh anniversary gift from Homebase.

I got an electric drill for my fortieth. I'd been away for work for 5 weeks, came back for one weekend for my fortieth, got the drill and a lecture on relationships by a gay artist. Needless to say, as I headed off again the next day, I didn't really look back.

    Now that was shyyyyt.

Funny you should mention that. My missus bought me a drill for xmas, a couple of years back (De Walt jobbie, quite impressed) and I was chuffed to bits. However, if I bought her an iron, I think she'd be upset. Why is that?

I'm still here and no trip to a crappy sunshine island for me.

Off to bed in about 10 mins though as early start tomorrow and TDV is on the blob so no reason to stay up.

As an aside, TDV turned around earlier:

"Who's is that new blue bike in the garage?"
    "Errrr - bloke from work"
    "Why is it here?"
    "I'm building it"
    "Harrrumph"

Hmmmm, methinks that bloke from work can't get on with it and wants to swap it for something I have in the loft ...,,,,

I like gun metal grey. I had a mate with a 3 series C2 2.7 Alpina years ago. It was a gorgeous car. I think the E30 BM was the prettiest saloon ever built.
