Just out of curiosity, if there was a hypothetical long term devaluation of the pound, would foreign companies see the UK as a better place to invest because of the favourable export markets?

    Hello Flan!
Fell asleep on the sofa last night...must have been a long week.

Possibly - cheaper production though partly depends on how much you have to buy in from abroad to make the stuff. Also cheaper to buy target companies in the UK when the pound is weak.

I think alcohol would finish me off completely. Great idea but got the girls all of tomorrow and Sunday and looking after them with a hangover wouldn't be much fun.

Have a (female) friend who does not get hangovers. Nightmare. She just keeps on going. We were over in Belgium last weekend with them, and it got messy.

Overpriced though. Is it me, or does the current incarnation lose its edge quicker than previous versions?

Oh I remember now. It's the other bloke that lives in Moffat. We thought of moving to Peebles but house prices are a bit too high for what you get.

Plenty of advice about Gillet's here:

Might be an idea. Hawick seems ok. Jedburgh is nice but falling apart. I don't want to be near the sea (it's over rated) - you know: 360 degree cycling options. We're not entirely sure yet but we definitely will be moving at some point.

Just after you finish the renovation?
