    It's a winner.

Off to do stuff. Enjoy your Friday. This one's a bit cheesy but still works... I always thought this was what Tears For Fears were channelling for Everybody Wants to Rule The World..

As an aside, if you like bluesy rock guitar stuff, a quality album is Robben Ford - Talk to Your Daughter, from 1988. Hardly a dud track on it. I bought it when it was first released and it still gets time on my playlist..

Barn Burner is a bit 'country' for me and I know the reason why they call it country. All a bit too polished. Soz.

The harmonica playing reminded me of something completely different:

You are hard to please... :) Midnight Oil were awesome as a live pub band in the 80s.

Yeah several times. They used to do the local pub/university club venues before they hit the big time. Garrett was quite a sight on stage!

Evening all. Currently flicking between the football and the tennis. The missus isn't talking to me for some unknown reason so it's nice to be able to hear a bit of sports commentary for a change.

Can't decide what to do. Football? Meh, lost it's appeal after the Iceland debacle. Go through some Glastonbury highlights on iplayer? Maybe. Watch some more Louie, only picked up on it a couple of weeks ago, it's very funny. Or I could finally get round to watching Gangs of New York..been on my to view list for a long time. I will however be eating plenty of crisps along the evening...my BMI reading gives me plenty of scope to stuff my face.

I have hopefully increased my BMI by drinking the left over gravy. For some reason Mrs BBGeek finds this disgusting so I did the washing up while she waters the plants. Washing up means getting rid of the gravy. Down my Gregory Peck. God I love washing up.
Watching the football. I used to live in Wales, and have many Welsh friends. And I want them to win. But as a massive Belgophile, I want them to win too. Aargh!
    more wine may help.

    Gravy.

    Nothing prophetic so far.

    I've added to that.

Also watching the footy while Wifey is in an unexplained bad mood. No gravy though.

Life is better with gravy. Fact. Get over it BB stick insects. And if the fat and juices from the meat go into the gravy, then all the better.
    MMM Gravy...Obey, stick insects...

They don't know how to make gravy in Scotland. I think the root cause is a Calvinistic frugality. If that doesn't convince you - have you ever tried Oatcakes? An oxymoron if ever there was.

I will not be fooled into this. Oatcakes for me and mine are from North Staffordshire, and not the Scottish kind. Much as I like the life north of Hadrains Wall, I will not give way on these. The battery is going to die, use an appropriate search engine and see what you could have won...

Those Staffy Oatcakes need to be 100 times better then the Jock variety for me to even consider being paid to eat them even when i'm drunk.

Now watching a couple of episodes of Punk Britannia on BBC4. Reminded me how good Siouxie and the Banshees were.
