Sweet lord, I’d forgotten just how bad a lot of music was in the 1980s. Best of TOTP 1985, almost entirely awful, then The Cult comes on to save the day. Before that was Move Closer by Phyllis Nelson, the songs only redeeming feature is that I probably had a few drunken snogs to it at the end of a yoof club disco after drinking too much snakebite.

Feargal Sharky now warbling A Good Heart, asked my daughter if she recognised the voice. She didn’t, told her he was the front man in the Undertones and she’s horrified, I taught the girl well and she appreciates punk.

Those re-runs of 80s TOTPS are bloody great nostalgia trips though. I know most of the songs on nearly every episode they air even though some of rhem are complete cack. Just getting a dose of 80s classics on YouTube now.

    Hated the 80's. Brittle.

Anyway, must sleep. Tomorrow is another pedal.
Then make a swing for the girls.

Take your pick from a multitude, mostly '77 or before.
No one that indulges in incessant smiling though. He is New Wave, and capitalising.

I just don't understand 'Basil'. He stayed under the radar, made no contact with the others, disguised himself and wasn't recognised in any CCTV footage but wait for it... stayed in the same old flat where was smelting gold jewellery.
Why didn't he move away? I mean really away? New life, no contact with anyone in the UK - away.

Did a virtual ride up the Mortirolo due to the weather forecast.
The roads that I could see through the window stayed dry.
Watched the final episode ofChernobyl. Excellent, if not pleasant.
Four pints of cider as recovery drinks and all is rosy again.
Time to chill out with music and malts...

You know the subject matter, so if you are fine with that then 100%.
Not even got round to '83 yet.
    Really should. But not tonight.....
