2014 Gear

Not an exciting colour scheme and the spacers are awful, that said, the Domane is a stonking bike (Albeit not very interesting) and discs are the future whether you like it or not (I can't be bothered with them at the moment but by the time I upgrade it they'll all have 'em)0

Odd that it says the bike isn't approved for anything wider than 25mm's. Don't TFR run these with a 27mm tyre at Paris Roubaix? Sounds like a load of old BS0

Whilst we're talking about all this 2014 gear, does anyone know when roughly the 2015 ranges will be out?0

That new Giro helmet has been launched: http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/arti ... hed-41482/
The Giro Synthe - their new aero road helmet which they (predictably) say is faster than the S-Works Evade.

Thing is right, Specialised say the Evade is nearly as fast as a full on Cone-head jobbie, does that mean this is the same as a cone-head? Can't see it myself, looks like my old Giro I was wearing for years with one strip filled in. I suppose a shot from the back will be the giveaway.0 -
Personally I don't see how t can be as fast as a normal TT helmet....0 -
I quite like it. In another colour though.Contador is the Greatest0

It doesn't look bad to be fair but it doesn't look like it would be as quick as the evade, the back of that is very different. That just looks like a normal lid. Much better looking than the air attack skate/bowling ball lid0

do they come with a money clip on the top tube? you know, for keeping an emergency $100k handy0 -

Exactly. A 90's Volvo estate has a lower drag coefficient than an E-type Jag, but it doesn't look aero.0 -

Big Tom grabbing a crafty peek at the new SRAM electronic. He soon got told to get back behind the tape with the other punters!0 -
Finally a good looking Campag groupset, well seen it just copied Dura ace0

An extra couple hundred quid for a load of marketing hype, it shouldn't cost any more than £30.0 -
I'm not a fan of the chainset but the rest of the mechanical SR is gorgeous :shock:0

Having stayed and ridden with Conor in Majorca a few times, I can confirm that he is ridiculously tall. And ridiculously nice. He was on a Spesh at the time though - hadn't been given his new team bike yet.0 -

I bet the flawed and arbitrary time trial extension rules are an absolute nightmare for him. They're really difficult for me and I'm just under 6'3!
Yes they are, but at least they've added that extra 5cm for big riders now!0 -
