If I can pull you all back on topic for a moment
Anyway, what's it like to ride?
No clue. Been raining since I finished it. I may get to try it on Saturday.....My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

What''s it like to ride? I have a 2007 model of this frame (dark blue, I love the new colour so am now considering a re-spray). I use it as my winter club-run bike, general training hack etc (it's been round the Flanders sportive twice), but I reckon it makes a great crit bike (if only I had the legs). Interestingly my best bike is a Condor Baracchi, which supposedly has the same geometry and rides completely differently (and I don't think its just the difference between carbon and steel).0

Still haven't ridden it! Mtb day today. May be able to do a trial run tomorrow.....
EDIT: Did about 400 yards before the rain came. Seems bloody brilliant frankly. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Finally got round to doing two long rides. First, saddle was off position, so difficult to tell.
Today, nailed the setup. DId about 45 miles.
It's frankly brilliant. Everything has come together well. Direct, stiff, pliable, floaty, but above all, still very very fast.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Dude - pics with cages please. I have a soft spot for Charley the Bike Monger, so like spending my money there.
I do love an Acciaio. Gem at www.bianchista.blogspot.com has one and it is lovely.

So, crit bike touring bike or both? I'd put it at the racier end, but using mine for clubruns suggests otherwise. I've just stuck a new rear wheel on mine - Condor supremacy (Miche 24 bladed spokes, roughly equivalent to a Ksyrium Equipe I'd guess) with a 32 spoker still on the front and now it flies!0 -
It's difficult to put a finger on. I'd be happier taking it on a North to South Wales in a day run as a kind of Grand Tourer but, equally, if I was doing a Crit I think I'd prefer it to my previous Canyon.
The main thing is that it just puts a massive smile on my face. I shall call him Zingy. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

They actually do a blue one now. I may have got that one if it had been available. May.
Still done no real miles on it. That's what the Croix is for. #winterMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

As a saddle it's great, but lookwise I don't think it will work... I obviously have a swift, as well as other Brooks saddlesleft the forum March 20230 -
That is my concern. The Condor seat post is a lovely thing, but not exactly retro. I've been looking at an R3 Arione with a Celeste stripe, which might work. IF it's comfy. I don't really get on with the Toupe.
So I'm open to considering what would look good and what would work. I considered a Scoop Ti but I didn't find them all that good.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Why do you want plastic cages on a steel bike? Surely you should stick to steel, no?left the forum March 20230 -
Handsome bike - but I'm of the opinion that Condor are a little up themselves now as a shop, was really disappointed last time I went they were only selling their bikes.
It's just a hill. Get over it.0
