That's a lot of riders to work through at the bottom of the Alpe.

Edit.....plenty of time, leaders are a km from the foot, peloton a lot further back obviously.

    Cleat is on fire today
Contador caught. In the library of riders with panache Contadors attacks are a bit like the Mr Men - each one has a different character....but always the same old story :D

They should have left them out there. Tire them out a bit.

Disagree. Movistar and Saxo need to work together on Alpe d'Huez, not compete against each other.

Why would Movistar and Saxo work together? Saxo stands between Quintana and a podium.

Not sure it was much more than show. Froome has been almost begging him to attack there for days.

Contador changed his bike. UCI has announced a "surprise" bike control at finish line to check all bikes meet the 6.8kg min. weight rule.

Would be so happy if Riblon won this. Think they may well stay away and I`d fancy him other the rest unless Moser is with them in the last km.

Real shame that the Kreuziger Contador break for it came to nothing other than tiring the legs behind. 2ns and 3rd on GC going from that distance is a rarity. Bad time to have a mechanical too when Movistar decide to go for broke - bit of a wasted effort as Quintana will have to fly to reach them before the summit.

Movistar "put the hammer down" still seem to think they can win the stage. I'm not so sure.
