For someone with "psychological" problems following his crash last year Schleck has done fantastically well on this descent. Would be nice to see him get back to his best.

Thanks. No chain guard? Anyone know if he hit a bump that knocked the chain off or was it a mis-shift?

Seemed like a problem in the cogs as opposed to up-front. Probably a mis-shift/bump coming out of the hairpain and may have strained the rear derailleur

Wondering if Contador, Kreuziger simply wanted to get down that descent in safe position - at least that will be message at finish line

Bit of gold fr the ITV 4 subtitles. They are apparently 'approaching the second climb of alcohol use'

They should have left them out there. Tire them out a bit.

    Looked like a bump.
Thanks. If it had been a mis-shift that would be a big issue since it's electric. Makes more sense that a bump knocked it off. I wonder if a chain guard would have helped or if it jumped when he was shifting and got caught between gears.

That break from Contador reminded me of Sky letting Evans die on his arse last year on the Glandon.

At least they did somehing. Imagine them all doing it the Belkin way. That would have been dire.

Contador caught. In the library of riders with panache Contadors attacks are a bit like the Mr Men - each one has a different character....but always the same old story :D
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.

Disagree. Movistar and Saxo need to work together on Alpe d'Huez, not compete against each other.

Doesn't Di2 have crash detection that disengages the motor in the rear derailler to avoid damage? If so a bad bump could have activated up. Doubt it though as it should be easy to fix on the go.
