TM - at this rate going to be best part of 80 seconds better than anyone else

EDIT - at the time he finishes, of course

1:08 up on Barta at the finish. Barta's pretty decent but not amongst the best here...

I'm quite interested to see what G and Little Pete's times will be like. Time to shine for a Tour place...

Interesting first split from Hermans !

That can't be right, surely - anyone actually watching this to confirm / refute ?

They haven't shown him at all, but I'm 100% confidence he's not a minute up on Martin!

Too flat for him. I hope he does go full gas today though, as he looks like he's got the form to do a good ride.

I want to be sitting on a chair under a tree like that fella. Bottle of vino and a hamper of cheese and bread to hand

To take on the Carlton Kirby role, apparently this area of France contains a fifth of all of France's lakes.

Anything else you'd like to know about the local geography?

I just did that with my colleagues for lunch, minus the wine of course and the tree in fact as I've given myself mild sunstroke. :(

I guess with a bit of a TT background and a 2 min advantage, Veilleux could still be in the lead after the TT

Rohan Dennis in with a chance of taking the yellow jersey with that ride.
