If my italian is up to date it was after the first stage. Would have known that positive for a while then, eh?

And EPO... They aren't even trying, are they...

It's my first PTP-level season. Are Santa's PTP points void in the light of this bombshell?

The 'Landis Rule' applies. All results on the day stand, no rejigging of points. (Afx did redistribute the points when Landis was positive, but it was such a pain to do he created a rule so he didn't have to do it again).

Hmm, someone on this forum said that I should be more of a believer in clean riders these days, this was about a month or two ago, on the basis that I'd read too many doping books (which I have).

Quite a few incidents since then, just a shame that Santambrogio didn't take a bit more as I had money riding on him in the giro

Good to see Santambroggio positive. Us dirty ol managers have known his performances were high risk for a while. Good to see system work.

No-one said you should be a believer in a rider who has been banned twice before or a rider who was riding better than at the time of the drug investigation he is currently involved in despite have dropping to a second tier team.

I doubt many would have said you should be a believer in Di Luca or Santambrogio.

The peloton knew Vini Fantini weren't trustworthy: was the talking point for the first week of the Giro (until misery & survival took over).

Seriously what goes on in these guys heads? Although if you are going to do it at least do it properly like Lance!

Is the team owned by Cipo? Was he also a drug cheat? If yes to both must be a fitting way to end his ambitions as a team directeur.

what are the odds a juiced up Bertie turns up at the tour?

That's big. Not usual to point the finger at a whole team...

As SBF says, what could they do? Got to wait for the system to work for them.

So, when does Nibali's get announced?

Take a look at Vaughters Twitter feed and his responses to this question. Basically you cant go shouting out and accusing in public without evidence - better to report concerns in private to AD officials. Which is what he's inferring was done

Given how hard it was for anyone to speak out about the culture of doping previously, you'd think they could do something. After all, the system hasn't proved that good at catching them in the past.

Aye, fair enough. As long as they're able to report it to someone and it doesn't all get brushed under the carpet.
