Hi, my name is Daddy0, and I've not bought a Scott CR1 frame... However, all this talk about buying Scott CR1 frames is making me want to buy a Scott CR1 frame.

I e-mailed the EPO a link to the website and pointed out the great savings should I/we buy a Scott CR1 frame. She mustn't have got the e-mail as she hasn't replied telling me to buy two Scott CR1 frames yet.

I might just buy a Scott CR1 frame anyway. Problem is, if I do them I'll want a pair of Zipp wheels and a top of the line Campag groupset...

    WHY IS LIFE SO HARD?!

We have a recently adopted two year old boy
    Congrats on that.

I jokingly mentioned that I'll need to get a new bike soon as another winter will kill the Felt. The reaction of the wife left me under no illusions about the likelihood of that happening anytime soon! I think the words eternity, first and ring were used...

I'm not even married and asking my missus would be out of the question.

Sometimes I really hate this website and I doubt that the opps I have just bought another <insert bike or related thing here> will work anymore.

    I'm still poor.

and thank goodness they no longer have my size.

They haven't got any 58cm frames so I can't order one.
I have no idea if this is true, or if it's the size I'd need, I just keep telling myself that is the case.

I'm not sure whether to not buy the 54cm or not buy the 56cm frame...

Well, I didn't order one. At least I'm £500 (and the rest) better off as a result. But I don't have a nice new carbon frameset.

    Soooooo

I've been away on a family holiday and upon opening my computer I am bombarded with all this talk of Scott CR1 SL stuff

    I don't know what's worse

    A) thinking I'd missed out on this crazy bargain
    or
    B) Realising that the XS size would fit and that I still have the opportunity to buy one

What I need is a good solid winter bike, not a carbon race machine. But this could be built up as a luxury winter bike... yes?? Seems a bit wrong though. 105, Aksiums and mudguards?

Keep up at the back. This is the commuting forum - at least half our CR1s (mine included) are likely to end up with Cruds etc. Yours would be up against stiff competition to claim to be the best winter bike EVER!

Plus one to what Mrs Doyle wrote.
